ok, well jala is our "team captain", which really isn't much, because coach does everything. but she still thinks it's her business to yell at people {specifically me and christy} when they do something wrong. it doesn't matter if heather or brandie do something wrong, but if I DARE do something wrong, i get heck {lack of use of a better word} for it!!!!!!! she has her favorites {Brandie-in same grade, both seniors, she and jala are oldest on team, also best friends}{Heather-pretty, skinny, naturally talented in basketball} {Christina- she and jala are both pointguards, always work together when brandie isnt there}. the rest of us just suck i guess it makes me so mad i could scream at her and not even care what anyone thought!!!!!!! like today, i forgot to set the pick on her, so she yells "backpick ashton, it isn't that hard, dang{once again, it was really ANOTHER word being said} then christy made ONE mistake as pointguard, so coach yells "come on christy, get with it!! jala, take her spot!!" Christy looked at me and said "haha, don't huret my feelings none!!!!" That's why I get along with Christy so well, we are alike in so many ways!! Neither of us like Jala!! Today, Heather and I were late finishing weightlifting, so we didn't leave at the same time as everyone else. Christy was talking to my mom about practice. Christy mentioned practice, and my mom said that I would probably do a lot better and have lots more confidence it "someone" wasn't playing. Christy immediately said, "yeah, like Jala!?!?!" Mom laughed and said yep, you don't get along with her either??" "NOPE!!" Christy said!!!

Phew, I feel a little better, but if I get yelled at again, I'm talking to Coach, Jala REALLY ticks me off!!!!!!!!

OK, you are a Freshman on the Varsity team, right?? Well, Jala probably just has 'tude about you being on the team. You must be VERY good to be on Varsity, so she is probably just jealous. Also, I find that people who get "power" can use it one of two ways. Either they try to use their power for good, or for evil. Some use it to encourage, while others use it to make people feel bad. You will probably encounter people like this throughout your life. For example, my boss at the first job I had after college was pure evil. His idea of encouraging people to do well at their job was to threaten them with losing their job. He was a miserable human who wanted to make others miserable as well. My experiences with "bosses" before that were not so negative, and I have since worked for people who are not that way. Unfortunately, you never know how someone will use/abuse their power until they get it. Hang in there, little lady. Just play your best & deal with your Coach as much as possible.

I think someone has been reading comic books or something.

So anyway. We actually went to the Japanese garden. No really, we did. We have one here in our little bitty town. It's nothing like the splendor that our dear friend danauk has made for us, but it's not bad. They were out of fish food though. Bummer.

nothing really......dreading practice and camp, but there's nothing I can do about it.....but on the bright side, next Friday Christy is takin me home from practice, and we are keeping Shelby and Savannah.

Around 8:30 i have to go I have to take a shower and get ready for bed. I have to read and/or listen to Nora Jones to make me sleepy, then I turn on a classic Disney movie and fall asleep watching it........it really helps. Sometimes I watch my sattelite, but lately I prefer DVD's or movies because I don't have to think "ok, if I fall asleep during this movie/show, I probably won't get to see it again, at least not for a while", so I can easily fall asleep

Anyway, Yes! You may (but probably not) recall I was originally going to WDW in SEPT for PixieMagic's birthday trip. When it looked like y'all were going to be there in Oct, she agreed to postpone and we'd go to the tag meet.

Now, since she got her fancy schmancy new job, she has decided to run over for her birthday also. She called me up and said, hey...wanna come along....all paid for. And she just 'happened' to have two airline tickets
So we are staying at the Hilton at DTD and are going to spend lots of time by the pool and shopping and the like. Will, of course, pop into the parks for our favorite rides and meals
It's gonna be HOT and WET...(9/5-10). We're not going to do very much fine dining (to save $$ for OCT!) but will probably rent water mice....cause that was so much fun. Hope we don't ram any alligators!
