He has smoked on and off since he was young, when it was really cool and everyone smoked. He was successful on several occasions but would eventually start once again. He realizes it's a stress issue because he only smokes at work. Due to my health issues, he never smokes around me or DDs. He got the Smokenders program to complete at home. My question is does anyone know of any site that lists the amount of tar in the various brands of cigarettes? I've looked and can't seem to find this info and part of the program is to step down .2 mg (or is it .02?) every week.

Thanks for your help!!
Lois

Sorry, I do not have the answer, but bumping up hopefully someone will!!

Congrats to your DH on his determination to quit!!!

I can't help you find out about tar amounts, but here's some P.D. that your DH is finally able to kick the habit.

Honestly, I don't know how anyone can afford to smoke nowadays. A pack of butts from the vending machine at our local pub costs $7. Holy smokes!!! (Literally.)

Good luck to him, and let me know what you come up with , dh NEEDS to quit because the cost of TWO CARTONS a week is sending us to the poor house!!:(

Just wanted to wish your DH the best of luck!

I do not have any information only my support for your DH. My dad quit smoking 2 years ago this month and it is great! It has made such a difference in his life.

Tell your DH to hand in there and not give up. The long term benefits from not smoking will be rewarding.:D
