DH left for Myrtle Beach this morning for a week of golf with a bunch of his friends. Apparently the airline lost his golf clubs :lmao: . At least he has his suitcase... another friend had both his luggage and clubs lost. The airline thinks they may be on another flight that's due to arrive later tonight. Hopefully he will have his clubs by tomorrow's tee time :wizard: .

Hmmmm...karma for leaving you at home ;)

Seriously, hope he gets them in time.

BTW, what breed is your dog? He/she almost looks like a newfie and we are owned by a newfie!

My roommate's snowboard was "lost" when she came home from Colorado. The next day someone drove 3 hours from Manchester New Hampshire all the way up to Maine to deliver it to her...

:rotfl: He's a mutt... we thought when he was a pup that he might have some newfie in him but he's only 60 pounds so I don't think so. I think he's mostly retriever :)

I think he might have newfie in him, just by looking at his picture. Actually, my DD4 say his picture and called him by our dogs name. Our newfie, Zoey, is little only 90 pounds. Our last girl was 130.

Anyways, he's a cute dog...sorry to get off topic!

Sorry about your hubby's golf clubs. That stinks.

I can tell you that baggage handlers HATE golf clubs because they are so heavy.

Awww... thanks... we think he's pretty cute too :teeth:

My family was headed to Myrtle Beach for a weeks vacation and the airline(USAIR) we were flying on landed in Charlotte (from Boston) with a connection to MB. When we arrived in Charlotte, (mind you 10am) the airline informed us that they were very sorry that there would be no more flights to MB....WHATTT we all said. What happened to our flight? Well they only could tell us that we would be BUSSED to MB from Charlotte. Yup, so we had to wait around for this coach bus to arrive in Charlotte and then all of us (8) and the rest of the people on our MB flight all piled into this coach bus. Well we arrived at our destination (after a stop at the MB airport to get our rental car and then off to the condo we were all renting for the week) VERY LATE.

I ever so nicely called the airline the next day and informed them that I was very UNHAPPY with this situation and what were they going to do??? They said well "YOU GOT THERE OKAY!"....I said "My family LOST an entire day of activities and fun in the sun due to the fact we were originally scheduled to be in MB by 11am and off to our condo and the vacation starts"! They said "Well now that you put it that way, we will issue your entire family round trip vouchers" I said GREAT. So we all got free vouchers to fly anywhere in the next calendar year.

Even if your DH gets his clubs and luggage I would push that about the DELAY he has had in his VACATION starting....something to ponder...it may be worth a free round trip voucher. :)

My dd and her 3 friends went to Costa Rica. They couldn't afford the airfair from Marquette Michigan to Chicago to Costa Rica, so they drove down to O'hare. On the way home American Airlines rerouted them from costa Rica to Texas. They got to Texas at 10:00 p.m. and had to wait till 5 a.m. to fly to Midway. My dd didn't want to fall asleep with her luggage next to her, so she checked it in. When she got to chicago no luggage.

Her luggage got to fly home to Marquette Michigan and then delivered to her on campus apartment. It took 2 days, she was home on a Tuesday and they got it to her on a Thursday nite.

Hopefully they have your husbands luggage in 24 hours. He could always rent clubs from the club house.

MB has 100's of golf shops so at least he can buy some new ones and hopefully have the airline pay him back if his don't show up

It happens!
Just a risk of flying I suppose....we just returned from London and the airline lost my hubbies bag...arrived the next day. Having worked for an airline I know how easily it can happen...tell him next time to take you and you'll bring him good luck! :thumbsup2

** UPDATE **

Well, DH's golf clubs have safely arrived at the airport and he should have them sometime in the next 4 - 6 hours... crisis averted :thumbsup2

DH's friends luggage is in Charlotte and they don't know when it will be arriving :confused3

Glad to hear that he is getting his clubs. This is why I always carry my bag on so I don't have to worry about the airlines sending it to the wrong place or losing it.

When I flew for the first time with just one of my friends, she refused to tie any ribbon to her bag or to mark it in any distinguishable way. Her luggage was lost... actually picked up by someone else at Gatwick in London. After 4 days, the airline told us that it was taken to Manchester and we should have it the next day. 20 years later, I can still remember what the bag looked like even though I only saw it when we were checking it in at JFK.

Thankfully, she was a size smaller than me and I didn't know how to pack lightly then, so she just wore my clothes.

Can't really share golf clubs, though.

I'm glad things worked out for your DH. I hope the same is true for his friend.

The one time the airline lost my luggage (never to be returned BTW) it was from Myrtle Beach. I think they have some issues at that airport.

And look at the way he's flirting in the picture! :rotfl:

Or is it a look of humilation for wearing the bunny ears? :teeth: We can't put anything like that on our dogs or they flip out.

He finally gave up and stopped fussing after I promised him some peanut butter :teeth:

Your dog about the ears or your DH about the golf clubs? :teeth: Or it could be your DH about that hat he's wearing in that picture? ;)
