After 2 1/2 weeks of being missing, my mothers ring has been found!
DH put a window in our laundry room, and it looked pretty dingy with the extra light. I insisted that we paint it. Dh masked it off for me Monday night, decided to paint "the hard parts" for me (behind the washer/dryer and the sink), then just went ahead and painted the whole darn thing while I slept (I didn't know about this until the next morning)
After he was done he cleaned out under the washer/dryer and there was my ring with all my kids' birthstones, including a real diamond for DD#2 (who bless her heart was born in April)!
I can only think that the day I lost it, I cleaned the kitchen for a few HOURS and was throwing stuff away left and right, the ring must have fallen off on the floor in the laundry room where the wastebasket is and rolled under the washer. Who knows? I just know I never would have looked there in a million years!!! I'm very lucky DH got into "painting mode" and found it!
