I wanted him to try it out to see if he thought our family should really eat there in May. He absolutely LOVED it! He said it appeared to be very kid friendly. It was very, very crowded. He was told a 30-45 minute wait to be seated but it ended up being only about 20. The service was very friendly and efficient. He had Caesar salad that was good. He LOVED the multi-grained bread served with hummus and roasted garlic cloves. The green beans were crunchy but good. The garlic mashed potatoes were awesome. The jerk chicken was "to die for"! He wants to order it again in May. He wanted to lick the red peppery jerk sauce off the plate. The coffee was smooth and similar to what he had at Boma Tuesday night. (He LOVES Boma's coffee!) I asked if it was that Nescafe garbage and he said he certainly didn't think so. He said he can't wait to go back with us. It's a nice, comfortable family restaurant with great food. I'm ready to go!
Oh, yeah. His bill was $30 with tip.
Another thing, he said there were 2 large pieces of chicken. One was a breast. He left completely stuffed. Couldn't finish the potatoes. Couldn't think about dessert.

Sounds good!
Seems this restaurant may be better than I first expected---.

What a good review! I've looked at the menu of Shutters, and it really appeals to me - gotta try it sooner or later! :) I had read a few negative comments about Shutters, but, like all new restaurants, I guess it takes a while to find the right groove.

I'm guessing from the comment that the beans were "crunchy" that Green Beans in TX are "cooked to death" (I'm from SC originally, and that is what I'm used to as well). I think all the green beans available in WDW restaurants are either steamed or sauteed, which leaves them a bit crunchy. This cooking method is favored in more northern areas, which is why it may seem strange to those of us from non-northern areas. I was surprised the first time I had them cooked that way, but it's my favorite veg now (that cooking method allows the beans to retain more vitamins, too!)
