Last night DH and I were making plans for getting to the airport for our upcoming trip, talking about what we wanted to do while there, etc and he says, "You know those cups we got at the Beach Club? Can we just take those back and use them again?"

I swear I thought I was going to pee in my pants I was laughing so hard - well, also I'm 6 1/2 months pregnant so peeing in my pants probably wouldn't be that hard to do anyway. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I said sweetly, "I don't know if that's allowed, honey. Why don't you get on the Disboards and ask."

Anyway, he thinks I'm nuts for posting on this board so I never could really make him understand why it was so funny to me that he would ask about reusing mugs.

And before I get a lecture - no we're not taking them back - especially since we're staying at POFQ and not BC. We'll be buying new mugs. But for a minute I was like, "AAck! Call the Disney police!"

How dare you send your poor unaware DH to ask a question like that! Think of your unborn child! Please have mercy and tell him to at least put on his flame proof suit first!

ROFLMAO!

My wife would do it just to mortify me, I'm sure!

What?!?! Can we not bring them back and use them over and over again?!?!!? :earseek: :earseek:

Just kidding!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

He won't be asking about pool hopping too, will he??? :rotfl2:

Lord, I hope not. I always thought his mama raised him right. ;)

I will have to admit though - him asking me that so innocently did give me a little perspective. I think I had forgotten that most people don't spend time every day reading about/discussing the minute details of WDW! :teeth: It kind of made me feel sorry for a newbie who comes here to ask what is to them a simple question and then - BAM! - WWIII breaks out over it.

He does know we can only have 2 kids because of Disney room occupancy rules. :earboy2:

:rotfl2: what will he ask next

I saw a ton of people using 2004 DVC mugs at SSR last week. Come on, people, make an effort. Did you not see the YEAR printed on the side?

The way things are headed with the dining plan, the next "no-no" will be discussing whether or not it is against WDW policy to pay OOP for a child's meal to save a TS credit for a future meal. :confused3

Oh my, thank goodness no one has gone there yet! Imagine the debates. :rotfl:

:rotfl: If it is a little faded from the Dishwasher, that is really good too :rotfl2:

Hey, in Dec I'm taking my 73 y/o mom for her first ever trip to WDW. We are doing a split stay at POFQ and CSR. She is a big coffee drinker, as well as a very early riser, so I told her about the refillable mugs at POFQ and told her that she would have to buy another mug at CSR, but considering how much she drinks it might be worth it to her. She said fine and I thought she understood.

However she came over this weekend, saw the POP mugs on the shelf above my refridgerator and said "we ought to just take these mugs back to use in Dec". I was like you. I almost peed my pants (and I am not pregnant). After I explained the policy to her again, she said 'are you telling me that every time you do a split stay you are buying two mugs. I told her no, that I don't buy mugs if I'm doing a split stay since I don't use them enough (don't drink coffee and seldom drink soda), but in Sept we spent the entire week at POP and my son and D-I-L wanted the mugs so I bought them. However, now they were just good for decoration. I'm using one as a pen holder in my computer room. I'm afraid she still didn't get it.

Actually, if you go to the Disney Restaurants Forum there HAVE been major discussions about this - whether or not it is simply a loophole that Disney put in and is allowing so it's ok or whether it is a gross injustice to those not "taking advantage" of Disney because it will, no doubt, cause Disney to continue to raise their prices. It goes on and on....
