I bought one of these from Disney Floral two years ago . . . love it! princess:

But when I took it out to use yesterday, I noticed there were some "tarnish-like" marks on it. They wiped off with a damp cloth and a fair bit of pressure.

I'm not sure exactly what the finish is on this - do any of you ladies know how I can prevent these marks in the future?

Thanks for any help! :goodvibes

Tarnishing is typical for silver. You just need to polish them with silver polish as you would silver flatwear, serving dishes etc.

Thanks Swmhc! To be honest, I didn't think it was really silver . . . :confused3

I know for silver jewelry there are those anti-tarnish sheets that you can put in your jewelry box. I have one in mine (it's a little piece of black paper) and nothing has tarnished. I had a problem with a Disney charm bracelet that tarnished (it turned completely black and I can't get it to return to normal :sad2:). Depending in how you are storing them or displaying them maybe try the anti-tarnish sheets. You can probably get some at your local jewelry store. They work for silver jewelry :confused3 Hope this maybe helps. Good Luck!

I haven't gotten around to purchasing one yet and am wondering about using the one Disney provides (or I think they do). Do most people display them, use them again etc? I love the idea of having one engraved.

Thanks DisBride011 - those sheets sound like a good idea! :goodvibes

I don't display ours, but you could - they really are very pretty! I've used them on our anniversary (with a grocery store cake - LOL!)

Yesterday was our second anniversary (at home wedding with a be-lated Dismoon the following January). Even though the wedding was in NH, it was Disney-themed all the way! princess: We are planning to have a DFTW Vow Renewal so we'll be using the set then as well.

Whichever cake set you get, enjoy it - and be sure to keep using it after you're married! pixiedust:

Anyone have photos of them? What do the ones they provide for free look like in comparison?

This is my first attempt at posting pictures, so here goes [fingers crossed]

I don't know what the free one the DFTW provides looks like; hopefully someone else can help . . . princess:
