DH and I are on episode 4 of the John Lithgow season. I am seriously big time freaked out at his character and could use some encouragement to keep watching.
I know what happens at the end of the season and I'll deal but for now, after episode 4 how much worse does this season get? LOL LOL LOL

LOL this is the season that hooked me! i saw one show and bought the 1st 3 seasons. we ordered showtime to watch season 4 and are ready for 5!

it's pretty much like all the other episodes from now on! i had to watch at least the last seasons last 3 shows back to back because i was so jumpy! i wanted it over with, but not!

john lithgow is seriously great and creepy!

my favorite is season 1 though.

A friend of mine is a fan of this show, I just might give it a watch now.

It's SO worth it to keep watching the season, in order! The characters develop and interact in some unexpected and intriguing ways. Even if you know the final payoff, it's a deliciously enjoyable ride. :thumbsup2

Can't wait for the new season to start!!!

Kathy, we're always a season behind because we don't have cable. It's nice too to be able to watch it on DVD at our own pace.
I can't believe I could handle the other seasons baddies but John Lithgow is just soooooooo good at being creepy! LOL

So who is in this current/upcoming season? Anyone familiar? (I mean the bad guy LOL It's always some new creep isn't it? LOL LOL)

I agree - the last season of Dexter was just WAAAAAAY too much! (Wait 'till you see the final episode). I will never see John Lithgow in the same light again. He always struck me as so nice, so sweet, so gentle. I didn't think such a nice man could pull off that part he picked up to play.

:scared1: But HOLY CRAP did he ever make a great serial killer! :scared1:

To answer your original question, yes it gets better. OR maybe it gets worse depending on your squick factor.

I have to say that with 3 episodes left, I almost stopped watching. My nerves and heart could not take it. I literally felt like I was having a panic attack. We also knew what happened in the last episode, but did not know how. I found out details by watching a video podcast of cast interviews (which was really neat BTW). One of the episodes really really just got to me (probably the 4th one to the end). I did end up hanging in there and was glad that I did and like everyone else can't wait to see how this season goes!!

We love the show and are gonig to sign up for Showtime when it starts (we never had it, always watched them on DVD). When I watched the first episode I literally was like "what the hell am I watching!" :scared1: gave episode two a chance and before we knew it we were plowing through them all last summer!

The acting is amazing, I do have to say that.

From what I've heard, because it's the final season, its all about Dexter and there is no new "creep". No "Big Baddie" is what the producers said.

Season 4 is intense I know with one episode involving a child I was FREAKING OUT! Don't want to give away too much more. I just found the trinity's pattern disturbing yet the way Dexter infiltrates is interesting. it is a good season don't give up it was a clever and well written season

You must keep watching. I know there are some rough parts to this past season, but it really was the best season ever!
