Developmental Delays for DD

So I have a beautiful nearly 13 year old daughter who is developmentally delayed (she is a nice normal 9 year old, with a 13 year old body).
We are cruising on DCL in September and she does NOT want to go into any TEEN programming. She hates boys and dancing and prefers to stay in the 10 to 12 year old group where she can bake cookies and swim with others of similar Hannah Montana Fan type tween interests.
Does anyone know if Disney Cruise Line handles these kinds of disabilities alright or if I am going to be pressured to put her in with the teens??

I would email the cruise line and explain the situation. Disney is pretty good about accommodating guests, I'm sure if you talk to them in advance they will try to work something out with you.

I cruised with my DS who has Down Syndrome when he was 13 1/2. I had to talk to the counselors (vs. signing him up on-line - no big deal) for the club. But they were fine with it - actually, they were totally great with him.

He really liked Ocean Quest - if you are on the Magic and it is still there. It was a come-and-go-as-you-please area for the 10 to 14 year olds. I didn't want him coming and going on his own, so I also talked to the OQ counselors and they were wonderful. We threateded DS that if he EVER left without telling a counselor and waiting for us, he wouldn't get to go back. They were more than happy to page us using the Club pager when he was ready to leave.

Bottom line - everyone was great with him. It was no problem to enroll him in the club instead of the stack, and the Ocean Quest folks made that work too.
