Developer and Regular Points = One Holiday

Originally we were just heading to SSR in September on our developer points, but have since decided me might want an extra week in May. Since that decision came to light, I have been playing around with the developer and normal points and have come to the conclusion that: 1-week in May on developer points, with a 2-weeks in September on a mixture of developer points and regular points works out better (we get more days in) that 1-week normal points/2-week developer points.

What I want to know is: is it possible to mix the developer and regular points? Or since we are looking at a split site stay, would we just effectively book two separate holidays - ie 3-10th Sept (dev pts) and 10th - 19th Sept (reg points)?

Still playing around, so nothing is set in stone, but any advice/tips/ideas in regards to the whole developer/regular points situation would be good. I like to know what I'm going for before I book, even if MS are great are organising my holiday, I want to be that tiny bit more organised!! :rotfl: ;)

Yes you can use developer points and regular points for a single reservation, but only at 7 months.

That's okay then! I've actually got to wait for the points for the May trip, because our use year is December lol But thanks for letting me know - that makes planning a little easier.

You can make a reservation now for arrivals up to 19th May, you don't need to wait till December. Your use year has no effect on when you can make a reservation, the points come from the appropriate use year.

Also keep in mind the recently changed booking rules, you can now book up to 7 days in a single call, 7 months from check in date.

We got Developer points (at least I believe thats what they were) when we brought AKV but we were able to use them to book at the 11month window without any problem, we used both are developer points and regular points to book the accomodation as well.
