"Detroit has never sounded so sexy!" A mother/daughter February 2012 NEW TR LINK

Great picture with the Beast! Can't believe someone was trying to cut in line, that's just crazy :confused3

Sorry about the ants in Canada, that would be kind of creepy.

The back of dress C is beautiful, but my vote is for B...love that colour!

Great last couple of updates!

Via Napoli is on my list of places I want to try, my brother has been and he really likes it too.

I don't blame Caitlin for falling asleep in the movie, it's a nice movie but if you are tired, sitting in any dark and cool place is prime napping!

Great pic with The Beast!

I vote for Dress B. I think the flowiness (is that a word?) is really pretty and I am partial to the color Purple...

It was really odd that an adult with no kids was trying to cut. I'm used to people trying to shove their kids to the front and not wait but an adult :confused3

Thanks and it was

VN is worth checkin out :thumbsup2 We're trying to squeeze it into our Sept plans.

Yes my family is known for napping at the movies, at the American Adventure and at Carousel of Progress

Thanks :)

Just back from Disney with DS for his graduation trip, (boooo to coming back); but I just had to say we loved Via Napoli too. Out of the three reservations I made, it was both of our favorite - and I think we sat in the same table you guys did! Unfortunately, it was pouring rain so I didn't get any pictures but I loved the atmosphere and my DS loved the pretty little Italian girl that took care of us. He is 18 and didn't have any problem finishing his pizza along with a helping of the delicious pasta with chicken and peas I had as well as a sundae with vanilla gelato with black cherries. And I think we only waited two or three minutes to sit, of course, our ressie was for 4:30 which may have helped too, but I would definitely go there again.:thumbsup2

I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it too :) Maybe they have a rule that they only hire attractive people

Fell behind, but I'm all caught up again! Caitlin, congrats on an excellent time in the race (and without your own shoes too!).

I'm loving the leisurely day in the World Showcase. Via Napoli has been on my to-do list for the longest time and it looks like it's finally going to happen, we've got an ADR for October! Everything there looks so yummy (both the food and the "scenery" :lmao:).

Love all the topiary photos, I also wish they'd keep them year-round. They bring just that extra touch of Disney magic to the WS. But I guess they wouldn't have a spring event to market if they kept the topiaries around, so I'll just enjoy them each spring instead. :goodvibes

I agree :)

0Hey everyone! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!! I ended up not picking any of the dresses I posted  Isn't that always the case?! I loved C but it would have cost me $200 and I would have only worn it once :headache: Plus I dropped a weight on my cell phone so the money for that dress ended up going towards another phone. You will all be able to see the dress in two weeks though when I post pics from the pageant! Let's all hope they are of me smiling and princess waving and not crying hysterically and ripping the crown off another girl's head :thumbsup2

So we left off with me showing my disdain for the Canucks who had just recently beat the Red Wings and we were heading back to Futureworld. But there are always pictures to be taken on the way there!

disneyday3222.jpg

We stopped by Mouse Gears so I could do some Vinylmation trading.

disneyday3223.jpg

I had to search out good Vinyls this year there really weren't any good ones in the trading boxes so I ended up trading for ones that you could actually see :thumbsup2

We had to stop by and say hi to certain little purple character of our imagination.

I feel a bit like Kayne West in Gold Digger when it comes to Figment most specifically the line "I don't care what none of y'all say I still love her". I know a lot of people complain about how maginificent the original was but really what could be bad about a British dude and Figment. I personally love that whole singing moon and astronaut Figment part at the end! Plus that song is so darn catchy!

Finally we made our way out of the park to go relax before an evening of galavanting around the Boardwalk!

We got back to the room and I changed into my bathing suit and went to sun bathe and nap around the Hippie Dippie pool.

Can't you just imagine being there right now?! :thumbsup2 Honestly I love POP and all of those bright colors just scream home to me!

We said goodbye to our Play Doh friends and went to change to have a girl's night out on the town :woohoo:

disneyday3282.jpg

Before we went though we needed sustenance because anyone who will be singing their lungs out and dancing their butts off needs food. To the POP court we went and while we got food I started the dancing my butt off portion early!

disneyday3027.jpg

disneyday3028.jpg

Yep I boogied to the Hussle :cool2:

disneyday3030.jpg

I am a pretty big deal around POP they actually taped my dancing and now use me in hologram form to initiate any crazy dancing around the resort :thumbsup2

This was our choice of sustenance

disneyday3032.jpg

POP has the best nachos! It is a known fact and if you have never tried them then you are seriously missing out!

After our dinner it was time to head out and get our groove on!

disneyday3035.jpg

Was our destination for part of the night. My parents loved it when they went in September '09 so both of them had been anxiously awaiting taking me there. You have to be 21 so it was a bit of a wait  This unfourtunately was where the pictures ended for the night. We went in and were transported to an awesome world where drunk people sang at the top of their lungs and hot guys played the piano :thumbsup2 It was pretty fantastic and if you are looking for a grown up night out I strongly suggest here! I paid for them to play "Don't Stop Believin" and it was pretty epic! I honestly love that song and with a drink or two :rolleyes1 it was even better! We had a great time! It is your basic bar but two guys are always playing the piano and you can either tip them and give them a song to play or just listen. I really wanted to hear "Don't Stop Believin" so I tipped. After we had, had our fill of music we headed over to Atlantic City Dance Hall! Yep we were bar hopping! Atlantic City Dance Hall is your basic dance club but it was dead. There really weren't a lot of people there and the people there were certainly not my age  They had a screen up and were playing music videos so my mom and I took a seat and watched. Well mom underestimated her sexiness that night and had a guy come up to her. Now for those of you that don't know my mom does not have the best hearing so with the loud music plus that she had no idea what this guy was saying to her. Here is how it went down.

Guy- "How are you two ladies doing?"
Me- "We are fine"
*Mom grooving to the music in her seat*
Guy- "Does she want to dance?"
*Mom really getting into and starting to nod her head*
Me- "No she is good"
Guy- "Really because she looks like she wants to"
*Mom nodding her head to the music*
Me- "Nope she is good"
Guy- "Well sweetheart if you want to dance with me just let me know"
*Mom notices the guy finally and keeps nodding to the music*
Me- "I think we are just going to call it a night"
*Me pulling Mom out of there before she gets herself in trouble*

It was quite a night.

Wow, we practically *LIVE* at Pop Century but I don't think I've ever ordered the nachos.
We'll definitely have to give that a shot next time!

As for Jellyrolls, I am sooo jealous.
Mom and I have attempted to get over there so many times but just can't work out the babysitting.
One of these days we'll get there...

But why no pics?
No cameras allowed or were you just too busy trying to avoid the random guys hitting on your mom? :goodvibes

You need to try them! They are our favorite nachos on property!

You two would have such a good time!

From what I had heard there were no camears allowed but people were taking pics anyway :confused3 I was just to busy having fun to think about it :thumbsup2

I totally agree. I don't understand why there is no love for the little purple guy :confused3 It is still one of my favorite rides at WDW. So iconic! And yes, I do remember the old version, but its not THAT different. People have such a hard time with change. Figment is going to be our first ride in July since we have to be at Epcot anyway for Via Napoli :figment::figment::figment:

I ended up not picking any of the dresses I posted

:sad2: So why’d you ask? :lmao:

Isn't that always the case?!

Yup. I’m always changing my mind when it comes to dresses.

: Plus I dropped a weight on my cell phone so the money for that dress ended up going towards another phone.

Ouch! That’s worse than dropping the weight on your foot!

Well… until you actually do drop it on your foot, then you don’t think so.

You will all be able to see the dress in two weeks though when I post pics from the pageant!

Looking forward to it.

Let's all hope they are of me smiling and princess waving and not crying hysterically and ripping the crown off another girl's head :thumbsup2

Like the scene at the end of Ms. Congeniality? ::yes::

When I took the DDs for their first time (they were 4 and 8) that was their favourite ride. Four years later, they couldn’t wait to go on it again… let’s just say, their recollection of the ride was a little better than their reality.

Can't you just imagine being there right now?! :thumbsup2 Honestly I love POP and all of those bright colors just scream home to me!

Never been to POP, but, yes… I want to be there right now.

Yep I boogied to the Hussle :cool2:

I would’ve been shocked if you hadn’t. :)

I am a pretty big deal around POP they actually taped my dancing and now use me in hologram form to initiate any crazy dancing around the resort :thumbsup2

Maybe I’m dense…. No wait, I am. No maybe about it.
But I can’t tell if you’re kidding here or not. You’ve been on billboards, so why not capture you for this too?

99% sure you're kidding... but there's that niggling 1% that says... maybe... just maybe.

Sounds like a blast!

After we had, had our fill of music we headed over to Atlantic City Dance Hall!

Now that I think of it… are both these places on the Boardwalk?

Well mom underestimated her sexiness that night

Something she shouldn’t do. You’re both very good looking young ladies.

It was quite a night.

:lmao: That’s funny! I’m not quite like you though… I probably would have told him that yes, she does want to dance… go right ahead.

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes:

Great update!!
I have to say, I also really love figment, it's something that so many people pass over (I'll say my first trip to Epcot all we did in FW was Seas, and TT) crazyness!!

Ugh, how I wish I could be at the pool at Pop right now, that would be incredible! Love the shots, and great job doing the hustle! Haha, I've just never been around when they've been doing it!a

I Love Figment, too!! I miss the old version but the newest version is OK too. I'm glad they still have a version of the little song on the ride.

Sounds like you guys had a great time on the Boardwalk! I always wanted t try JellyRolls but we never had the time, maybe someday.

I love the first picture in the update. It’s beautiful!

Those palm trees at POP are so pretty.

Those nachos look SOO good!

Hahaha sounds like you guys had a good night!

Haters gonna hate :confused3

Awesome! I can't wait to ride it again!

:sad2: So why’d you ask? :lmao:
Idk  I got so much backlash on Facebook when I posted I didn't buy any of the dresses

Yup. I’m always changing my mind when it comes to dresses.

I knew it!

Ouch! That’s worse than dropping the weight on your foot!

Well… until you actually do drop it on your foot, then you don’t think so.

I would have much rather dropped it on my foot and broken toes than dropped it on my phone :headache:

Looking forward to it.

Me too!

Like the scene at the end of Ms. Congeniality? ::yes::

Yep but with a bigger explosion!

When I took the DDs for their first time (they were 4 and 8) that was their favourite ride. Four years later, they couldn’t wait to go on it again… let’s just say, their recollection of the ride was a little better than their reality.

 It is still a good ride though!

Never been to POP, but, yes… I want to be there right now.

It is such a great resort!

I would’ve been shocked if you hadn’t. :)

Yeah I am a bit of a dancing machine

Maybe I’m dense…. No wait, I am. No maybe about it.
But I can’t tell if you’re kidding here or not. You’ve been on billboards, so why not capture you for this too?

99% sure you're kidding... but there's that niggling 1% that says... maybe... just maybe.

You will just have to go to POP and find out!

mmm…. Those look so good.

They are amazing!

Ah, but the best things are those you have to wait for.

Truth

Sounds like a blast!

It was!

Now that I think of it… are both these places on the Boardwalk?

Yep right across from each other in fact!

Something she shouldn’t do. You’re both very good looking young ladies.

I know! She thought the only guys coming up to us would be hitting on me but she has no idea of her gorgeousness!

:lmao: That’s funny! I’m not quite like you though… I probably would have told him that yes, she does want to dance… go right ahead.

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes:

I was tempted to but I also knew how many days we had left of vacation and didn't want her hating me for the rest of it

Great update!!

Thank you!

Figment is so great!

I know I wish I was at POP too!

I Love Figment, too!! I miss the old version but the newest version is OK too. I'm glad they still have a version of the little song on the ride.

Sounds like you guys had a great time on the Boardwalk! I always wanted t try JellyRolls but we never had the time, maybe someday.

I guess ignorance is bliss when it comes to Figment. I don't remember the first one and the one they have now is the one I grew up with.

We had a blast! You definitely need to check it out!

I love the first picture in the update. It’s beautiful!

Hahaha sounds like you guys had a good night!

Thank you!

I love them!

They were so good!

It was definitely a memorable night!

I love your POP pictures. It would be great to be sitting poolside at POP today! I didn't know they had nachos, they really do look good.

Well Miss Caitlin - I can not wait to see your pictures from the pageant where I know you will come out a winner even without the $200 dress (a cell phone is definitely more important).

Thanks for the Jelly Rolls suggestion. Denny and I might just have to go there on one of our Boardwalk nights. It will definitely be a first for me.

I can definitely see your mom just sitting there nodding to the music while some guy is trying to pick her up. :rotfl: too funny!
