Detroit area...parking? highway construction?

We fly out of Detroit at 7AM on Thursday. We are about 1 hr. 10 min. south in Toledo.
We plan on leaving at 330 in the morning. We are driving up and parking at the airport--no hotel overnights because one child has play practice until 930 Wednesday night.
Two questions:
1) is there a dedicated garage for southwest? We parked at DTW last summer when we flew for DH's company convention and we flew airtran, don't remember if the garages are specifically for one airline or not.
2) anyone know of any highway construction around DTW or in Southeast Michigan that might make us want to leave earlier?

Same garage for all airlines.. Have you thought about park and fly..Could save you lots of $$$$....I have done both..

Also, sometimes, and I realize your child has practice until 9:30pm..but it is cheaper to get a room that has free parking for your length of stay at Disney than it is to actually just park the car..

Not sure on construction???

It looks likes there is some construction on I-275 that could cause some delay.

I don't know...we only paid $10 per day last summer. We will be gone basically 8 days since we leave early one Thursday and come back late the next Thursday. My housesitters aren't coming until Thursday mid-morning.
I remember some reviews where cars were getting broken into at park and fly lots. We thought the airport parking was pretty convenient.
Thanks for the construction tips! We usually go up 23 and not 75, I think.

I would think that I-75 to I-275 to get to Metro would be quicker than US-23 to I-94 since 23 is further west from Toledo than I-75.

You may be right...I don't drive, DH does. But I don't know what kind of delay the Monroe problems will be at 4AM.

Parking at the airport is currently $16 per day. Cheaper elsewhere.
