Dumb question, but do they provide laundry detergent and dish washing liquid in a 1 BR @ SSR?

And can someone recommend a 2 mile loop run @ SSR?

Thanks.

Not me, Sorry.

A year or so ago I used my GPS and measured some of the distances around SSR, and created this 'map'. It may help you decide what would be a good running path. All distances are color coded and are in miles.

You will get a single use box of Tide each day you get services from Housekeeping (so on points, every fourth day).

When we stay at SSR, we like to run (I just walk) down towards Goodings by the DTD hotels and you can also add distance through DTD and over to OKW. My husband can usually get a good six to eight miles without going on roadways. Of course, he wears his Garmin so he knows exactly how many miles he is getting. I think I got a three mile walk in from the Doubletree hotel to Cirque and back without going through SSR.

I think the path from SSR to OKW is about a mile. So there and back would be perfect. It is a very scenic and peaceful walk.

Where is the path from SSR to OKW? Is that the small path I see on the above map that looks like it starts near the carriage house? I am a new SSR owner and will be staying at OKW this June. A 2 mile out and back path sounds great to me!

No, the OKW/SSR path is not on that map. It is 0.93 miles (thanks for the measurement to Caskbill) from Cirque to OKW.

From SSR, depending on your location it could be a little farther. To get to the path you need to go down to the LBV golf clubhouse and cross the cart bridge across the canal. (The bridge IS on the map at the lower right.) After crossing the bridge, the path goes left (to the practice green and on towards Cirque around the parking area) and to the right. Take the path to the right. It follows the Trumbo Canal all the way to OKW. You will pass the Treehouse Villas along the way where the canal divides to go to Port Orleans. Just stay on the path all the way to OKW without crossing the canal (you'd be on the golf course - and they frown on that for safety reasons). At the end of the trail, you'll be right behind Building 55 and can continue on thru OKW or just head back to SSR.

Enjoy! :)

Thanks Doc for the info. I must be blind b/c I can"t see the bridge on the map clearly. is it by the red 0.25? Will I get into trouble w/ WDW for running the trail? A 2 mile out and back would be awesome.

No, if you can see where the LBV Clubhouse (#13) is located, under that is #11 - the boat dock. Look below and to the left and you can see the bridge (white line) crossing the canal. It is at the very bottom of the map.

You will not have any issue with Disney security as long as you stay on the paved walkway and don't venture out onto the golf course. At one time there were exercise stations along that walkway, but those were removed long ago. There are maintenance vehicles sharing that walkway, so be on the lookout (they are pretty good about avoiding guests on the walkway). When you reach OKW, you can cross the canal there if you wish or just turn around and come back towards SSR.

Ahhhh. Thank you Doc. Much appreciated. I feel like an idiot not seeing it.
