:cool1: Just come off the phone from dining reservations and got a reservation for the dessert party on 31st August :dance3::yay:

Sorry I did forget to ask how long the reservations are open until :rolleyes1 but it will be worth a call now

ARGH! The cm I spoke to (after listening to a LOT more of Tiki Room than I would have liked!!) said that it has been extended to Sept & Oct, but they can't currently book it?:confused3

just tried booking with the Poly IPO for our September trip ...the only dates they were offering during my stay were the 20th, 22nd & 24th...with tables only left on the 22nd...unfortunatley we would have to change around a lot of dining ressies (which is next to impossible since free dining arrived and there has been a surge in dining ressies for our time frame) and park plans to make it work so we had to turn it down...fingers crossed for some pixie dust and an extra party being added on Sunday the 26th!!

I just made reservations for August 25. I had to argue with the CM that it had been extended. She was adamant that it was only until August 14. :sad2: I told her I read people were booking it for Oct and beyond. She said that my information wasn't from the Disney official website. :sad2: She sure was surprised when she tried to book it and it worked. She said thanks for asking this question. :lmao: She said it had been extended to December something. I think the 15??

It is around $27 with tax etc. Pay now. One day cancellation policy.

They had a photopass guy there too. Here is a picture of my DDs at the dessert party. I like this shot because you can kind of see Spectromagic in the background. I wouldn't plan for this to be your only Spectromagic viewing since the view really isn't good at all.

perhaps this will become a permanent thing? that would be wonderful! we booked it thanks to my wonderful disfriends who informed us that it was back in april. i found it great with a 3 and 4 yr old to be able not to be crushed and moved at the last minute cus of people showing up on mainstreet who wanted to see it too. now im hoping they'll continue it to february for our next trip!

Maggie, do you have to get there right at nine? Is it reserved seating? I'd be interested to hear your experience. Thanks!!

She told me that since Wishes was at 9 pm on my date, the dessert party would open at 8pm (1 hour prior to Wishes).

Although, when we went last year I thought we had a reserved time slot to arrive? I don't remember but I think that was the case. It sounds like it might be different now?

Last year we had a reserved table with our name on a place card. We will see what happens this year.

...the only dates they were offering during my stay were the 20th, 22nd & 24th...with tables only left on the 22nd...

I just booked for 2 people on September 20th.

Thank you for the photos maggiew!!! :goodvibes

eta: I was told it opened at 8:00.

When I called I was given a time of 8:20 to arrive.

Don't arrive that late! Last year they didn't even ask what time our reservation was. They let people in by the order they were lined up outside the dessert area. Get there before 8pm.

help the cluesss please....what exactly IS the Dessert party?

The Dessert Party is a dessert buffet that is at Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace. Everyone gets a reserved table to sit at an enjoy their desserts. You can view the fireworks from your table or go to the railing. This is not on any of the dining plans and must be paid for when you book.

We were not seated until 8:15 ish. I then asked about my niece's lactose free food (I had already set this up with Special Diets). The floor manager brought out a plate for her. I grabbed my desserts and drinks and then we ate. I made the mistake of not having my niece go to the bathroom before we went in, so I took her. When we returned to our table everything was cleared! I then had to find the floor manager and explain what happened. I then got us more drinks and myself some more desserts and by the time a new plate arrived for my niece, Wishes had started. The railing by our table was already full so we watched from our seats.

I thought it was fun to try, but I won't be going this year. I found it much more stressful by myself - having to rush to get the food and not leave it unattended. They really need to figure out a better way of clearing plates/glasses. How is a single parent suppose to get food/drinks for two people?

However 820 would be more than reasonable for a 10 pm Wishes which would have the Dessert Party starting at 9.

So to squirrel....the party generally opens 1 hr prior to the scheduled time for Wishes. People due tend to line up prior to the designated time for the start of the Dessert Party.

Hi-
I just got a reservation for the 24th, so try calling back and talking to a different CM.

One odd thing though, the CM said gratuity was not included, I thought it was last year, I could be mistaken though, it was a very long and dramatic trip and my memory maybe fuzzy. No big deal if it isn't I just want to be sure to tip if it is not.

squirrel - thanks for the heads up, will make sure to be in the area before 8.

camlace - in October MK closes at 9 so wouldn't wishes be at 9?

maddiesmom0116 - I was told no tipping.
