Dessert Party Now Booking Past 14th August

Is the dessert party offered during MNSSHP?

It was last year...but I've spoken with two different CMs this morning that told me the dessert party is not being offered on MNSSHP nights.

Has anyone else been able to book the dessert party on a MNSSHP night? :confused3

Just for the record, I've talked with two separate CMs today, and they both confirmed that our reservations (12/2) are standing room only! No more tables/seating. :(

I thought all reservations came with reserved table seating? Surely it isn't fair if you are paying the same price :confused3

Well, that made up my mind for me though. So thanks for that. There's no way I'm shelling out $75+ without a place to sit down.

I booked for August 15, and yesterday when I spoke to the CM, I remember her clearly saying that when it came time for the show, I was allowed to either watch from my table or go up to the railing... I'm wondering if I should call back to make sure....? Can anyone else confirm whether or not there will be seating?

If you try to make your ressie for the "wishes dessert party" and there is no availabilty, please call back and make the ressie for the "fireworks dessert party". I called several times this am to book the wishes dessert party for any day during my stay (11-9 thru 11-16) and was told that there was no availiablily.

I just called again and asked for availability for the "fireworks dessert party" and got my ressie.

OK So I did just call the CM who said that there may be places to sit but that yes it is standing room only. She also said that no one is assigned tables...Kinda weird. She sounded like there wasn't very much info available to her so who knows... I hope everyone who is going enjoys the desserts! I know I wil :)

I just called and got Oct 4 at 9 pm.

Thanks! I never would have known about this if not for this board!!

What is the difference between fireworks and wishes dessert party? :confused3
My ressie only states Tomorrowland Cafe. No mention of the Wishes dessert party. I am getting scared I won't have the right ressie and I won't have a seat. :scared1: My ressie is for 8pm.

It is the same thing. I was only letting people know that I was not able to get a ressie after several attempts in trying to book the "wishes dessert party" this morning. I read thru the various threads and saw that the name has changed to the "fireworks dessert party" and got a ressie no problem when I tried under that.

If you are truly paranoid about your ressie, please give yourself peace of mind and call back to verify what you have.

Hey, I'm not sure about why the names of the party are different, maybe someone else would know?

My ressies also say Tomorrowland Cafe and that it's for dinner and it also says that this meal takes one dining credit, etc. I was really alarmed when I saw that, so I called and 2 different CMs told me that they weren't sure why it said that but that I'm in their system as having ressies for the Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace. I would also just call and make sure that this is also the case for you, another DISer on another thread said that last year she was booked for the Tomorrowland Cafe dinner instead of the Dessert Party :scared1: I would just call to be sure. I'm not too worried since I paid for it and everything, but I would just double check. Also, maybe bringing it to their attention that more than one person has this glitch will motivate them to fix it as it is very confusing and scary.

Also, the first time I made the reservation, the CM said that I could watch the fireworks from my table to get up to watch from the railing. The second time I called, the CM said that it was a standing only event and that there are places to sit but no tables are reserved. I have no idea what this means and am hoping that they just don't have their "stuff" together at the reservations center. It sounded like she was reading from information infront of her and that she didn't really "know" much about what was going on, which seems to be the case with many CMs and the Dessert party. This is also probably the reason why no one knows what to call it!

i'm hoping that DH will be able to sit SOMEWHERE to watch the parade and fireworks out of the crush of ppl on Main st. lol That is most important to him. At any rate we are very excited to be able to get a ressie for Oct 6 ( 8:00). I bumbled all over the place with what it is called but the CM i spoke with knew immediately what i meant. I don[t remember what she called it but i know the word " tomorrow" was in it lol.
I think if you make it clear you are interested in the Dessert party in Magic Kingdom they will know what you mean. Be clear though you want the one in MK especially if you are going during the F&WF as there is a similiar thing happening then at Epcot.

when i booked all i was given was a reference number, were you emailed confirmation?

I was not given e-mail confirmation, but if you log in on the website, you can see it among your ADRs. I also was only given a reference number and when I called back regarding that #, the CMs all had it in their system.

During peak seasons or free dining, I think they make it into a TS buffet in order to diffuse the high amounts of diners who were unable to get ADRs early. That's what the CM told me this morning.

That's correct - they open the Cafe for a buffet on Sunday nights during free dining. At least for August & September - I don't know about Oct-Dec.

It doesn't show up in mine - did you ask to have it linked to your reservation or did they do it automatically?

Same here...just go to the WDW website & click my reservations it does not have to be linked to your room reservation. If you put in your confirmation number & telephone number you should be able to see your reservation which should also state Tomorrowland Terrace Wishes Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom Park. I was also told it was "SRO", but last year we had reserved tables w/ a name plate & pixie dust. It was the main reason we thought it was great since we didn't have to "fight" for a table or view. I personally think they mean that they can't guarantee you will see from your table & the view is SRO, but if I find out that they are not offering reserved tables, I will cancel. It just isn't worth the money IMHO unless they are giving you a reserved spot.

Right, I don't think it's linked to your room but I think it's linked to your e-mail. If you use your log in, you can enter the reservation number yourself to link it to your username on WDW website.

Do you think the reason they changed the name from wishes dessert party to fireworks party is that they will extend summer nightastic fireworks?

:confused3

Well I'm bummed. I just called to try and book for 9/12 or 9/13 and there was no availability. CM did find openings on 9/9 so I'm sure she was looking for the right thing, but that is the night before we arrive.

I guess I'm just suprised that it's already booked up since the party extension was just announced 2 weeks ago.
