Dessert on Dining Plan

With the counter service meals you are entitled to dessert...do you have to get the dessert at the time of the meal? Can you use the credit for the dessert at a later time?

Ice cream is an option at some of the food courts/counter service. Your receipt will be stamped and you'll be given a time limit during which you can come back and get it - somewhere around 60 - 90 minutes.

Otherwise you have to pick up your dessert at the time you get the rest of your meal.

We had our receipt stamped at the POR food court.

You can get your receipt stamped at POP's food court. They have the BEST sundaes. You can get a regular sundae, brownie sundae, ice cream cone, etc. Some examples we had on our lst trip were:

Sundae with brownies, 3 scoops of mint choc chip, choc sauce, whipped cream, cherry

Sundae with 1 scoop each of choc, vanilla and strawberry, choc sauce whipped cream

Sugar cone with 3 scoops choc ice cream

At Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD Marketplace we always seem to get the same server who brings our food over. She is super sweet and just asks the kids what they want on their sundaes and brings it out once they are done their meal! That way it's not melting while they eat!

We were able to do this at hurricane hannas @ beach club.Also if you purchase a kids meal there (CS) they give you a bucket with a shovel. Its cute. Then the kids played at the pool with the buckets.
Most Counter services all you have to do is ask about the dessert.After your meal you can go back and get it.

I also carry around a soft-sided cooler (my lunch box) with some ziploc bags. I fill some bags with ice from the hotel before we start our day...this way if we don't want dessert right away or we want to get pastries to take back for breakfast the next day, we are good to go. I have also been allowed fruit, yogurt, and bottled drinks sometimes as my "dessert."
