Dessert on DDP

Question for you all...
I noticed that dessert is inc. in the DDP. We do not often eat dessert right after our meal (I wish I could sub an appt. instead)
Will the counter or table service restaurants give a voucher for an ice cream later?

There are no substitutions of appetizers for desserts.

Some people have been able to get their ice cream after they eat their CS meal. You just ask the cashier when you order your meal if it's possible. They'll mark your receipt and you go back up once you're finished with your meal.

Some have had luck redeeming hours later, others have been turned down when trying to do that.

At Sci-Fi, I took the Apple cobbler/crumble to go.

Some of them are not good choices with the heat, so I just tried a bit of them.

Well someone had to do it and he was thoughtful enough to offer and just 'take one for the team'. What a great kid!

We got cookies if we didn't think we wanted them right then. If they weren't wrapped, I put them in baggies. One night, we got really lucky at Puck Express in DTD marketplace. We got there shortly before closing and they just gave us as many cookies as we wanted to take back to the resort. He said they have to throw them away every night anyway. Then, they gave us yogurt to try also.

You could get the cookies to go and eat them later on in the day. Just be careful in the heat if they are chocolate chip...melted chocolate tastes great but can be quite messy!!

At Cosmic Ray's I did not want the dessert, so I asked if I can get the strawberry yogurt as my dessert and they let me. I gave it to my 1-year-old son and he loved it! They will also allow you to get fruit as a dessert if they have it. We got apple slices at Toy Story Pizza Planet, and these would probably last a little bit. I didn't care for them though...they were packaged and had something on them to prevent them from browning, which altered the taste and I didn't like it. I ate 2 slices and then stopped.

When we ate lunch at Pop Century's food court, the CMs informed me that if I would like to choose ice cream as my dessert I could get my receipt stamped and get it after I finish my meal so it won't melt. But I never tried to get it hours later.

What about at Table Service places?

Can you get the dessert to go somehow? Or can you get a voucher to get something else? (such as dessert from CS later)?

The only reason I'm asking is because we've bought the DDP (will save us money even if I don't get a dessert).

I believe I might have IBS or something, but every time I try to eat a dessert after a meal, my stomach hates me for the next hour.... will be in the bathroom for an hour (if ya know what I mean, lol).

Would love to try some of these desserts I'm reading about, but unless I can eat them at least an hour after my meal, I'm going to be suffering.

I've never heard of a voucher to redeem for a dessert at another location later on. However, they will wrap whichever dessert you choose, so you can enjoy it later.

That is what I was going to say. You can get it wrapped for later, but I have never heard of getting a voucher from a table service. As others mentioned I have gotten my receipt stamped at counter services that serve ice cream. They will tell you how much time you have to come back...I think it is 2 hours. That is usually at resort food courts. Most cs at the parks don't have ice cream.
