Desperately Seeking Kermit

Hi

We are off to Disney in September again and I determined to meet Kermit.

I know Miss Piggy and him pose for Photos at MGM but I've never been lucky enough to see him.

Does anyone know if he is out most days (in which case I've been very unlucky!)

You might try asking a CM when you get to MGM and see if they will find out for you.

Hi Mrs._Taz and Welcome to the Dis! When we were at Disney MGM Studios in February we saw Kermit next to the Muppet Shop along with Miss Piggy!

I was at MGM May 22-25 and saw Kermit and Miss Piggy signing autographs directly across from Al's Toy Barn. It's at the exit of the Muppet show, to the left. There's an alcove where they stand. Of course, nobody was noticing them, because Buzz Lightyear and Woody were out across the way.

We've often had luck meeting them after the Stars and Motor Cars Parade. We've managed to catch them every trip for the last few years, so my fingers are crossed for this year. Beware, though, last year, when Kermit and Piggy went in for a break, only Miss Piggy returned. I was a little disappointed (okay a lot disappointed), but apparently, he had some new lines to go over.

Oh wow! I didn't know you could actually meet them! If I were to be so lucky on the next trip-I think I might cry. I'm a lifelong Jim Henson fan.

Last time I went to Disney it was just me and my mom. We're both huge muppets fans, and were in the Muppet store, when all of the sudden she looks out the side entrance and sees Kermit and Miss Piggy. She YELLS "OH MY GOD ITS KERMIT" and ran out to see them. It was the funniest thing ever....i think she plowed over about 10 kids who were in her path. anyways, check near the muppet store

I been to Disney five times in the last two years, and only seen Kermit and Miss Piggy twice. I walk through Muppet Vision area a few times on each trip, and I would say that Kermit and Miss Piggy are not super common. Very hit-or-miss. I seen them near the exit to the Muppet ride, usually in the early afternoon, before 3:00. Don't check too close to the time of the parade as most characters leave to get ready. Kermit and Miss Piggy stamp for autographs. Hope you can find them!!!!!!!

Is there anyway I can ask a Cast Member at another park to check if their going to be out that day?

Yes there is! Go to Guest Services at any resort or park and ask a castmember for the "Chip Hotline". The Chip Hotline is a phone number that castmembers can call to see if and where a specific character is out that day. If you ask them about Kermit, they *should* be able to tell you. BUT I must say, a couple of times I had little luck with the Chip Hotline - sometimes character appearances are pretty spotaneous and the Chip Hotline has no idea. But Kermit is a specific character in a specific location, so hopefully they will be able to check correctly!

I've seen Miss Piggy and Kermit-- both separately within in the last year. Both times it was by the Muppet store. Where I've see them it's alittle hidden-- if you're not looking you may not notice as both times there were little to no lines for either.

In all our trips to WDW we only saw them once last year at the muppet fountain. The picture we took is now my screen saver.
