With all the organizing and decluttering going on these threads, I have decided to start from scratch.I have had a scrapbook room for years but never put it to good use. I guess its out with everything, paint then little by little things will return.
Now I NEED great ideas on how to organize everything. Do I start off listing all my needs first?

Have you looked over at two peas- they have a gallery of scrapbook rooms- lots of ideas/color schemes/etc.

I would start by inventorying everything you have. That way you can figure out what type of storage will meet your needs. Put all of your like things together.

inventory then style.

inventory everything you have first.

Then lets talk style. Everything out or everything tucked away. Messy vs. clean

Start with your workspace (or table) - how big do you want it, how tall, wide, where will your chair go, etc. Then figure out what you want within reach, and how to set that up. From there, move outwards in your space, deciding what you want where and how to store it. That way you have the things you use the most closest to you, and everything is in a place that you can find it.

You could make a map list of what you have and where it is, so you can use tools or embellishments that you bought but don't use much because they were always tucked away.
