Designing a Craft/Scrap Space

One of my favorite things to do is look through the scrapbook.com gallery (link below) of scrapbook rooms and dream of having space to create my own scrap heaven Some of the rooms amazing, others not so much. Still a great resource to get ideas.

what did you use for the bottom part of your work tabletop? did you build it? I am almost done having my room completed but DH still has to make a work table top in the middle of the room.

It's actually 2 pieces from the kitchen section at Ikea.

they both come with their own tops but I ordered the solid top so I had one surface.

I'm sure you could build one too. I think the hardest part would be the drawers.

Thanks! I was just thinking....you know how they have garden tours and such, where everyone travels around to see each other's gardens? I think we should have a scrap room tour where we all travel around to see each others scrap spaces!

Wait, you moved and had to leave this space behind?? It's so beautiful! I remember when you finished it. Love the color. Love the chandelier. Love the whole peaceful thing.

HOpe you recreate it well in your new home.

The new space will be bigger and better. I'll post pictures when I'm done.

We just finished the main bathroom and have now just demo'd the master bath. As soon as we get that done we can paint and carpet the master bedroom and then scrapbook room is next!

I just wanted to say thanks for all of the great links and photos of your rooms - we are moving into our new house in 2 weeks and for the first time ever, I'll have a dedicated scrapbooking space! We are turning our formal dining room into an office/scrapbook room - looking through these photos has given me some great ideas and inspiration! Thanks!

that's what I did!! I love it because I'm on the main floor with all the action and I can keep tabs on the kids.
