Designer jeans

I just saw an advertisement in a magazine for a pair of jeans that cost over $200! My question is, does anyone here own a pair of designer jeans? Are they REALLY that much better? I sweat when I pay $50 for jeans.

I did splurge once on a pair of Calvin Klein jeans. While they fit really well, the color ran FOREVER! I did everything Heloise and Martha told me too, and they would NOT STOP RUNNING. The inside of my dryer is tinted blue now :rotfl:. I ended up throwing them out (along with a few shirts and shoes the jeans ruined). I've never had this happen with any other jeans I've owned.

I had a pair of buffalo jeans that I got an AMAZING deal on the clearance rack of Lord and Taylor once. I thought they fit nicely, but I didn't see a huge difference in them, other than knowing I had a pair of designer jeans on. They had a nice design on the pockets. But I ripped them after falling down (typical me!) and I had to say goodbye.

Most of my jeans are True Religion, so to answer your question; yes. As for if they are worth it, IMO, yes. They are some of the most comfortable, well made jeans I've ever worn; plus 100% made in the USA.

Prior to my TR's, I wore mostly Guess jeans back when they offered a Marcianno line for men. But they stopped the mens line years ago and moved to TRs as I replaced my jeans.

I looooove my Lucky jeans.

Every time I wear a pair I get so many comments on how thin or how good I look. Definitely love that. :)

Have you soaked your jeans in cold water and vinegar prior to the first wash? That will help set the color from running.

Nope. I can't spend that kind of money on jeans.

I haven't spent that on jeans but if a pair looked good enough, I would for sure.

I have Mek and Miss Me jeans. Love them both!

I'm dying to go to the Lucky store in the mall down in Charlotte. I'd like to own ONE nice pair of jeans...that I don't wear around the barn daily!

This is going to sound weird, but...

Every time I see someone wearing a pair of "Miss Me" jeans, they look really ill fitting with the pocket placement.

I tried on several pairs once myself and I just felt like the pockets sat too low, etc.

I used to in high school and college. I also used to have a really hard time finding pants that were small enough so I was willing to pay any amount of money for ones that fit. Now I rarely wear jeans because I buy all my clothes based on whether or not I can wear them to work so the jeans I own are $10 Forever 21 ones.

Can't cough up designer prices, but a proper fitting pair of jeans is worth a premium to me - one of the very few things for which I'm willing to dig a little deeper in the wallet :lmao:

I loooooove my Miss Me Jeans!

Other than the fact that I love their extra long lengths, who doesn't love having a sparkly hiney!?!? :)

As with most designer goods, generally speaking, there is an improved quality. Still, a large part of what you're paying for is the name. Some people are okay with that, others aren't. (Those who aren't are usually happy to point out how silly they think spending money on jeans is...)

I wear designer jeans but only if they are on clearance at Marshalls. I can usually find Lucky Brand on sale there for around 20.00 :thumbsup2. I think I paid a little more for Calvin Klein and Diesel but not that much more.

Oh ya! It's my golden rule when I buy new jeans. Before I wear them, they get the vinegar treatment and it works EVERY TIME......almost. It didn't work this time. So, they are history.

I would pay more for the jeans if I knew for SURE they were 100% American Made.

I have 4 pairs of Miss Me jeans and the rest of my jeans are cheaper (jcpenny, American Eagle)... I would wear my Miss Me jeans over the cheap ones any day!!

I think the pockets are a little low but I also get mine altered to fit a little better because I just love the designs of them.
