Mine is just a plain silver ring. I can't wear any type of gold as I'm allergic to it.

DH bought me the traditional diamond solitaire as an engagement ring - our gold bands match. Then - after about 12-15 years the prongs wore down and I lost the diamond! I was devastated! What's worse: I had gained so much weight that we had to have the rings cut off! My dear sweet husband bought me a beautiful anniversary ring with 11 diamonds in it to replace the original. We had the wedding band connected to the new ring. I've lost enough weight that I had to get a ring guard (but I haven't finished losing all of the weight - so we'll wait and get it sized later!)

My engagement ring is a platinum thin band with a princess cut solitaire... cathedral setting.

My wedding band is a thin band wrap that brings a princess cut up on each side of the solitare... they are 1/3 the size of the center, so it looks like a three-stone band sorta.

I never wanted a wrap, but had a hard time finding a band that would work with my solitare the way I wanted it... the wrap has grown on me, though, and I really like it.

=)

Oh - DH's ring is a titanium band. The center of it is polished to be shiny, then the outside edges are matte finish.

My engagement ring was my Grandmothers and she gave it to now DH before we got married. The setting is from the early 1920's, it's 18k white gold with a .75 carat diamond with two quater carat smaller ones on the side. The center diamond is from the late 1800's.

My wedding band is a simple anniversary band with 8 smaller diamonds.

DH has plain white gold band that probably needs to be replaced - it's been pretty banged up.

My original wedding ring was a gold band with a single, tiny diamond in the middle of it.

For our 10th anniversary, we picked out an anniversary ring with diamonds around. Last Christmas, DH bought me a family ring with all of our birthstones on it. I now wear the family ring as one would wear an engagement ring (never had one, never wanted one) and the anniverary ring as my wedding band. The compliment each other well and are just a little bit different.

Mine is a 1 carat emerald cut diamond with channel set emarald cut diamonds and sapphires on each side in a gold setting. My husband drew the design for the ring on a piece of paper and had the jeweler make it. It's the most romantic thing he has ever done or could ever do. I know it's only a material good, but I would be devastated if I lost it.

My engagement ring is a pear shaped diamond with channel set diamonds in the band that come to a point under the pear and my wedding band matches my engagement ring as far as channel set but is curved to go around the top of the pear.

My DH's band is just plain gold that is engraved with "All My Love All My Life" and I have a plain gold band that is engraved "YTT (yesterday, today and tomorrow) Love Patrick" Both of these bands were melted down from a gold band that my DH's grandfather made for himself. I cant really wear my gold band anymore, guess I have gained some weight in the last 7 1/2 years:rolleyes:

This is as close of a pic I could find of my engagement ring.

Or this...

It is the only expensive piece of Jewelery I own...

It goes very well with my $17 necklace, 15 dollar watch, and $8 bracelet.

I love it sooooo much. I got a very plain white gold band to go with it that has a cut out so the engagement ring fits into it a bit.

When people comment on my ring I always say..."The ring isn't half as nice as the man who gave it to me..." :teeth:

His band is Yellow gold on the outside edges and white gold on the inside that looks hammered. It is really different. He love it...He did pick it out. He's a big guy so he said he wanted a ring that would SHOW on his big fingers...It does.

Ours is a braided wedding ring tri colored gold. Hubby got them in Dubai (if I remember correctly).

Well it was silver and it had a very nice diamond. DH worked as a roofer on week ends to buy it. When we moved from texas I gave it to my mom to hold on to. Well she passed away and I dont know where she put it. We looked in her drawer and jewelry box but havent found it. Oh well, it might be packed up in our garage with a whole bunch of boxes. DH also lost his wedding ring in texas. We said, its o.k. we dont need the rings, we know we are married to each other. I am not a jewelry person anyway. We have some of my grandmas and moms stuff but I think I will save them and give them to the ds to give to their wives. It will save them alot of money and they can get them remounted however they want.

My engagement ring is platinum with a round center stone with 2 princess cut diamonds in a channel settingn each side. My wedding ring is the same except with 5 diamonds instead of 4

We have matching bands of gold with small white gold lines like this \\\ six times around. They are what is called "comfort fit," very light weight and hardly noticeable when they are on.

My engagement ring is gold with platnum prongs. It has a diamond in the middle (set up a little higher) with saphires on each side. My weding band is channel set with altenating diamonds and saphires. I wanted something different. My dh's band is channel set with diamonds aand saphires. He also wanted something different.

My wedding ring has a round diamond in the center, and a tilted marquis diamond on either side of the center diamond, with two smaller round diamonds on the outside of the marquis diamonds. Does that make sense? Not that it matters what my wedding ring looks like, since I never wear it and instead wear a plain gold band! (No worries of losing it or damaging it or having a diamond fall out!) :D

My original wedding band was a plain gold band, very skinny because my engagement ring's band was pretty wide. I have an anniversary band (gold) that I now wear as my wedding ring- it has 13 little diamonds embedded in it. My engagement ring is also in a gold setting, about a 1/4" wide at it's biggest point, and has a slight lip around the edges. The diamond in it was my husband's grandmother's; she had a platinum band with two almost 1 carat diamonds in it. I have one diamond and my sister in law has the other. :D (but since DH and I got married first he chose which diamond....I think mine is slightly smaller than the other, but is a better color and has less flaws). It's a round or princess cut diamond.

My engagement ring is a round diamond half-bezel set in platinum with two sapphire baguettes flush set into the band. The setting cost more than the diamond would have if he bought it--his mom gave it to us. Our wedding rings' design matches. They're platinum too (due to DH's nickel allergy; he can't wear gold because it generally has nickel in the alloy) and they have a stylized ivy design on them; it goes around the whole ring. Inside are engraved our names and the wedding date. All three rings were custom designs. DH's ring is MASSIVE and very heavy. Cost me a pretty penny, too! Oh well, he's worth it. :teeth:

I have a white gold, center pear shaped diamond with channel set princess cut diamonds that go down the side of the ring and there are bars on each side of the center pear that protect it and they have princess cuts in it too.
my wedding band is a plain white gold with more princess/round channel set diamonds (anniversary style).
princess:

My wedding rings and DH's wedding ring are a matched set. They are gold with an etched interlocking ring design.

However, I now wear my mother's wedding ring. It originally belonged to my paternal great-grandmother. It's a wide gold band that my dad added a diamond to for my mom. When she quit wearing the ring a few years ago (after my dad's death) she gave it to me, saying I was the one who should have it. Someday I'll pass it on to my daughter and start wearing my old rings again, but for now I love wearing this ring with it's sense of history.

My wedding band is matched to my engagement ring. The wedding band is platinum with four small diamonds. Then there are two little "rings" of platinum at the ends of the diamonds.
