LOL - sorry!
We will be going on October, and hope to find a hotel with lots of things to do around it so that we don't have to do a ton of driving.
October can be tricky to be super honest with you in the span of 1 week you could have 70+ degree wather as well as 10 inches of snow. If early october you should be fine but again Denver weather very hard to predict.
Depending on what yo uwant to do depends on where you stay. if you wanted to do the zoo, museum, aquarium, amusement park , football game, shopping, you stay downtown. if you wanted to ski, sled etc, stay in the town you are skiing at.
And whats, not want do lots of driving? because Colorado springs has nice things to see but thats over an hour away not counting in traffic and weather, or if staying south and or north of downtown travel during rush hour can be a bit spotty.
Mountains are nice and yo umay catch the trees changing color but again depending on where you are at and weather it could be a bit of a drive.
What are the ages of the children you are travelling with?
Might I suggest visiting our haunted house which are up and running full force in october....lol
