Wanted to know in the medic center, is there a dentist, and are they good??? Please, any information would be appreciated!

I'm fairly certain there are no dentists on board. I know there havent been on a couple of other lines when I really needed one! I think the closest they get to that is to tell you where a dentist is located in port!

I have the worlds worst teeth so my dentist prescribes me some antibiotic and pain pills just in case! I go see him the day or 2 before we leave and make sure that everything that can be seen or noticed will be fixed before we leave.

I wish they did have a dentist on board but I would doubt they do.

Yeah, you have good company, a mouthfull of implants, bridges crowns...... a real nightmare. I never occured to me that they wouldnt have one...... yikes!

I hear your pain! I write it on the suggestion card for every cruise we have ever gone on and still nothing. I did get a letter back from RCCL once that just basically told me that the amount of people that have dental problems are so small it would pay to have a dentist on board! I wanted to write back and tell them that just 2-3 people visiting the dentist and paying the prices dentists charge would more than pay for their salary...but I didnt!:teeth:

I got the name of a dentist in Cozumel, took a taxi and saw his building and ran away! I just started downing pain pills instead!

It stinks to have bad teeth!

I'm sitting here laughing while reading this:hyper: as I thought I was the only one w/concerns about a dentist on board. We cruised last year just two weeks before I was scheduled for dental surgery. I had fears of my bridges loosening, or having gosh-awful pain in my gums. Fortunately, I too, had my dentist prescribe some anti-biotics to take w/me 'just in case.'

Oh, and by the way, neither of you have the 'worst teeth.' I do!

I am a letter writer, and I am off to send this one right away!
I suffer from trigeminal neuralgia, and can have a tooth die within a week from the pain..... totally unbearable. I lost 13 teeth to date, perfectly normal teeth. People like me need to have a dentist nearby just in case, and it is very unnerving to know that there isnt a dentist onboard. I just assumed it, silly me. I think it is really important, what if someone falls and chips a tooth? That is really bad, but it can happen...... Disney will hear this from me..... thanks for all the emails, it helps to know I am not alone. Should I be saying some serious prayers at this point, or maybe a Indian Toothache Dance before boarding!!!:love1:

I dont think they would do... It it is simply not worth it .. there r dentist at most ports and most dental pain can be controled with pills....

On our cruise 2 years ago, there wasn't one and we could have used one. My daughter knocked her front teeth really badly. Gums blackened slightly, most were loose, lips cut. The doctor gave her antibiotics--no dentist. We called our dentist at home as soon as we could. This was her second time knocking them hard. If you are worried--take the dentists phone number with you and even talk to him/her before you go. They may be able to give you tips on what to do if kind of thing.

Side note---(Third times a charm kinda thing) she finally knocked the front teeth out by performing a face plant onto the street. It took me 2-3 days to find one of them. I can laugh about it now--but it was pretty messy then.
