Does anyone know what this means: 'crown - porcelain fuse high noble metal'?
The dentist told DH he was using metal since it was for a molar. When you look at the tooth all you see is metal. The insurance company says that the dentist used porcelain which costs more and is considered cosmetic on a back tooth. Is it possible that porcelain is under the metal?
I'm hoping someone can help me out before I start my round of phone calls to the dentist and insurance company again tomorrow.
Thanks,
Jeannie

. All mine are porcelain on top of the metal. They look like a real tooth, they even match the porcelain to my exact tooth color. I am in the process of getting a broken crown replaced
. Call your Dentist and see what is going on! Even my temporary looks like a tooth
