My husband has give our family a choice! Stay at WL and drive down from NC or Stay at Value and fly! What would you all do?????

Deluxe, deluxe, deluxe!!!

We are making our 5th trip and have drove everytime. It is 10 hours for us. So nice to have your own vehicle there too!

I say if it is 10 hours as princessmomma says then definitely do deluxe. You will notice a big difference between WL and a value resort. Have a great time whatever you decide.

We drive from Greenville, sc all the time. Would definitely drive and stay deluxe. I actually find the kids easier in the car: we bring gameboys and a portable DVD player and we're all set!

Think of it this way: half a day driving in cramped quarters or a week sleeping in cramped quarters.

We drive from Dallas Texas (21 hours) every year or 2. Drive it! Without a question! :flower:

I would drive also to stay at deluxe. I am so spoiled now by deluxe I can't bring myself to stay at a value. (I will still stay at POR and POFQ). After staying at the villas for my honeymoon coming up in June I'm sure I will only want to stay there for every trip after. My DFH and I all ready decided we'd rather drive when we have kids and still stay at the Deluxe hotels. :rotfl:

I know he didn't give you this choice, but I would say either drive and stay in a deluxe or fly and stay at a moderate (POFQ would be a good choice). I would have to say no to a value.

If it only 10 hours (doable in a day) go for the deluxe.

We are over 24 hours away in Michigan and flying is the only way to go for use (espceailly in the winter.) :cold:

Our drive is eight hours, and we always choose to spend the $ at WDW instead of flying.

If he had said moderate, this might be something to think about, but definitely choose deluxe over value.

We drive the 19 hours down to my parents' house in Florida every year! It's not a big deal if you plan it well. My kids love the drive.

If it's only about a 10 hour drive, then definitely drive & do deluxe. Ten hours is doable in a day. It would probably take at least half that, if not more, to get there by plane by the time you do check-ins & retrieve your luggage.

As someone else said - it's also nice to have a car.

Another vote for driving from me! You will love the WL and you will certainly feel the difference from a value. As for the length of the drive ~ well, I don't think it sounds too bad since we often made the 20 hour drive here from New York. 10 hours doesn't seem so long to me, especially for the opportunity to stay at a deluxe.

Go for the deluxe. 10 hours drive is nothing and you have your own car. We drive 20 hours to stay in deluxe and have our own car for our stay. Using our car we have not been on a disney bus for the past 3 trips.
