Deluxe Dining Question

I have what may be kind of a weird question about the deluxe dining plan. I know that you get three meals a day and you can use table service or counter service for each meal, but I heard that if you use counter service it somehow counts as less points than if you use table service. So in other words, you could use multiple counter service for the "price" of one table service. I am not finding this anywhere so I am confused because I heard this from a very reliable friend who is a travel agent that specializes in Disney vacations. Does anyone know if this is true or how it might work?

This is more of a bump, but I have never heard that before.
I think it is an either or sort of thing.

For the DxDP you get 3 credits per day that are valid at CS or TS restaurants. Pretty simple way to implement the plan. The guests choice how to use but there is no diff exchange rate for cs vs ts
