Staying at Port Orleans - Riverside 9/24-9/26 and here's my itinerary so far...please give any recommendations or suggestions.

9/24 -arrive at POR and spend the day at the pool.
-5:45 pm reservation at California Grill at the Contemporary Resort
-either watch fireworks from California Grill or return to POR and hang out in the River Roost lounge.

9/25 -breakfast at the Riverside Mill Food Court
-go to the Magic Kingdom
-11:45 am reservation at the Liberty Tree Tavern
-4:10 pm reservation at the Plaza Restaurant

9/26 -??? Maybe breakfast at a resort before we head home

Your trip is very soon. I'd see what type of reservation you can get for breakfast at this point. (I'm also not sure you are getting your money's worth on the plan based on where you are choosing to eat. ) LTT and Plaza are two cheaper restaurants and then you have a CS meal. You may want to relook at the numbers. You might be better oop or changing your restaurant.

It is a tradition for my family to do breakfast at the Kona Cafe on our departure day. We love the Tonga Toast and the Somoan.

I agree with hannahdrewmom that you could get more for your money by going somewhere other than The Plaza. What about taking a boat to DTD and trying one of the TS there?

LTT and Plaza were the only restaurants in the Magic Kingdom with availability on 9/26. I'll keep checking though. :confused3

Once I get in the park I don't think I'll want to leave to eat.

I concur with those above who stated you may not get your money's worth from the DxDP. Depending on what you are planning to order at California Grill, it may be cheaper to get the DDP or pay out of pocket for everything.

Hmmm...how easy/quick is it to get to DTD from the Magic Kingdom? Fulton's Crab House has availability but isn't on my plan. Maybe I should go somewhere else instead of the Plaza.

Oh and I got a res at Kona Cafe for our last morning.

Fulton's is only on the Platinum and Premium plans. You won't be able to use the DxDDP there.

It really isn't. You have to go over to a resort and take their bus to DTD.

I'm not at all sure you are getting your money's worth using the deluxe dining plan. I would cut back to the regular dining plan and eat at CG that first night, and then do counter service for two other meals...pay oop for The Plaza. We love it there, but seldom use ddp credits for it since it's so inexpensive.

Since you will be at the MK and there are no ressies but the Plaza I'd take a quick mono rail trip to GFR - 1900 Park Fare or CR - The Wave or WLR - Whispering Canyon Cafe. At leat those would put your DxDP at a better value.

:thumbsup2 Liberty tree will run you less than $25 a person normally and plaza is even less. So for the day with CS included you are going to be under your $75 that you are paying. (I am saying this despite the fact that I think ltt has the best lunch of any ts in the park!)

Look at dinner on the monorail or at wilderness lodge. You could even do a signature that night for dinner and use your snack credits for breakfast instead of a cs meal.
