We booked our forthcoming WDW trip (9/27-9/30; All-Star Movies) through Delta Vacations. In part, this was because Delta was the only airline that had times that would work for our trip (and also because the price was less than other, less convenient options from our home airport). The extra SkyMiles were a nice perk, too. I know that Southwest is a favorite airline on here, but the nearest airport they serve is 2 1/2 hours away, which would not fit into our tight schedule.
Has anyone here used Delta Vacations to book WDW resort hotel packages? If so, what was your experience like? And if you had problems during your WDW vacation, did you use the Delta Vacations hotline?
Last time we went to WDW, we used Expedia, and Disney delivered the boarding passes to our Disney resort door (we stayed at AKL then) the night before we left along with our DME vouchers for the trip back to the airport. Does Disney have a similar arrangement with Delta Vacations? Also, since we booked two rooms this time for four adults (both at All-Star Movies due to our budget), are the DME tickets/airline boarding passes linked to the people that are staying in the room?
I already know that Delta Vacations automatically sends the DME and flight info to Disney, and that you don't have to go to the DME website to reserve the service and get the DME tickets in the mail. We all plan on packing carry-ons only, as our visit will be short, so we won't need the DME luggage service.
Any other feedback regarding Delta Vacations would also be appreciated.
