We have had our flight scheduled with Delta since January as it was a FF miles and skysavers. I kept looking at the flight schedules because I wanted to try to get something that didn't take 17 hours to get from SLC to MCO.

I was looking yesterday and really noticed that I could not find our scheduled flight times??:scared1: I put in our flight number and it came up for a Boise, ID flight:scared1: I could not even find anything close to what they had us on.

I called Delta and got an east Indian person which I appreciate that they are working hard but it is sooo hard to communicate with them and I am sure for them with us.

I got transfered to rescheduling. The nice guy Ray said there had been a change. So I asked for my dream flight 8:24 departure from Idaho Falls, Idaho, a switch over in SLC and then direct to MCO. He said sure!!!!  and then even put us on a non stop back home with just a quick change in SLC.

The good is that we have a perfect flight at great times. The bad, if I had never called I would have never known our flight changed and we would not have gotten the great flights. We were never told by Delta of the cancellation.

I am glad someone got a good result out of Delta's many flight changes.

We are traveling from Edmonton, Alberta Canada to Orlando in October and so far we have had our flights changed about 12 times, some minor changes by 10 -15 minutes either way - no problem, but two of the changes where our second leg flight left before our first leg flight got in - not possible :-( (we go Edmonton-Salt Lake-Orlando).

When I phoned today to figure out a different flight plan I was told "Sorry we no longer have any flights from Orlando to Edmonton, you can have a refund if you like." Well a refund is all well and good, but flights from other airlines are now $150 more per person (and there are 5 of us), and we have everything booked and planned with another family so we can't change the dates by more than a day either way and that doesn't help as Delta have simply stopped offering the flight we were taking all together.

I am so frustrated - I guess I should at least thank the DIS for knowing about all these changes - if I hadn't read a post on the Canadian board about Delta's common practice of changing flight times I never would have thought to look at my reservation.

Anyway, thanks for reading, sorry for the rant, and thanks for letting me rant.

Good luck to all other Delta customers.

Once you buy tickets on a flight it is a good idea to keep checking the flights for any changes. If you wait for the airline to notify you it may be too late.

Glad it worked out for you! Everytime we fly Delta, the flights change CONSTANTLY.... that's why I couldn't deal w/ it this time and we're trying SWA again :rotfl:

I check my flights twice a day because they can change so much. Sometimes they just change the flt. #, but it still wipes out your seat assignment. :sad2:
We had early morn non-stop flt that would get us to MCO at 9:30, they cancelled that and now we get there at 11:09, also Delta. That's still good time and don't have to get up as early.
