Song just dropped fares for November flights by a bit less than $3 each way. We booked last week at about $102 each way and today they are selling the flights at $99.22 each way. Ah well, the difference for our family of 4 is less than $24, but, whatcha gonna do?

Still no JetBlue fares in sight tho. The nice lady at JB who helped me on the phone the other night expected November and December fares to come out in April or May. But who knows?

That was the same email I got last week in response to my inquiry about when they would open up past Oct. 31. I finally decided to change my dates from 11/23-11/30 to 11/25-12/1. Fares for the flights I originally wanted are up to $300 pp!!! The change in days saved me about $75 pp. And my dd misses less school. I just couldn't stand the agony of waiting for JetBlue. And I really wanted to try them for that trip. Ah well. Another time I guess.

Alas, Goofy4Tink, it seems we are kindred spirits. We did the same thing, as I describe in Debster's post form this morning. None of the waiting, even if we pay a little more, it's worth the piece of mind for me.

ITA with you guys. I know the dates we want to fly next February, I know the date we can book with Song, and I am just going to do it. I can't handle waiting it out for JetBlue. And then maybe for 2006, we will all have enough of an idea for how they trend, and can be more informed.

I do keep going back and forth to see what the fares are each day tho. But, I think I'll be happy with my $220 pp. The right times each way. I'm just too old for all this stress and 'excitement'.

I just wanted to say what a help this thread has been. All the feedback was great and now I'm booked and ready to go!!
I decided to go with JetBlue. We got 6:30 am flight and the fares are 79.00 each way in July. Now on to planning and the packing. Thanks again
