If a strike becomes imminent, Delta will publish the arrangements it has made to accommodate their ticketed passengers.
In the past when a stike has affected the major airlines, the other major carriers have accepted the tickets of the stricken airline's passengers on a standby basis. In most cases, the stricken airline will try to get you confirmed on another carrier, but that cannot be guaranteed.
Per the contract of carriage that governs your ticket, in the case of a strike, the airline's only obligation to you is to refund your ticket; however, I have never known any airline to fully enforce that rule.
To read the exact rule that applies, go to http://www.onetravel.com and click on Rules of the Air on the lefthand side of the page. Then select Delta and select Flight Delays - Cancellations - Misconnections.
