Delicious Indeed!

Wednesday, February 23: Tomorrowland Touring

Howard and I walked over to Space Mountain to wait for them in the gift shop. After Joni's game, we notice all of the FastPass signs now!

IMG_6987.jpg

Seeing this ... doesn't it make you want to climb to the top? And then crawl into a darkened Space Mountain? Hehe.

IMG_6988.jpg

While we waited, we looked at the Vinylmation area since it had become a big part of our trip!

IMG_9146.jpg

This ice cube tray was pretty cool. You can have Vinylmation at all times! When they melt, just make more!

IMG_9147.jpg

They also had a billiards set.

IMG_9148.jpg

Howard was very interested in this Lightning McQueen one, and we spent a lot of time thereafter asking CMs if they had it in their trading boxes (the nice ones would tell us if they had a certain one when we asked or they would ask us specifically which ones we were looking for).

IMG_6990.jpg

I think they came out with a better Lightning after this, but I might be mistaken.

IMG_6992.jpg

Haha, he's so weird.

IMG_6993.jpg

The 3 of them finished their ride, and of course, that meant it was time to do some trading! You can hear that this CM asked if Danielle was looking for more Cutesters (Dani wanted the s'mores one). SO nice of her. She pulled out a Cutesters that was jacks. Then we asked about Lightning McQueen. I love CMs like that because yeah, the fun part is trading, but we were just going around looking for particular ones, so it was sweet to have a CM try to help us complete whatever collection.

We decided to have a quick bathroom break. Howard and I waited outside since we had gone during our non-Space Mountain time. So happy in this world!

IMG_6994.jpg

Even happier in this world!

IMG_9150.jpg

And who wouldn't be happy; they have trees like this!

IMG_9153.jpg

At this point, our Buzz Lightyear FP were up, so we went back to ride.

IMG_6995.jpg

Howard took pictures again. Haha, maybe he knows that it'd be too difficult with my jerking the vehicle left and right to get the targets I want.

IMG_6998.jpg

Look at how much the score changes in these two pictures. Haha, maybe it's the bottom of this Zurg thingie in this room that has high points! It's a difference of 200,100 points!

IMG_7000.jpg

IMG_7001.jpg

I need more points! I'll never be able to make it at this point!

IMG_7002.jpg

Boy, I love people on ride vehicle photos!

IMG_7003.jpg

Howard's getting good, don't you think? He might not be Tom Bricker, but these are much better than 2010's photos!

IMG_7005.jpg

Alas, I couldn't reach the same high score I got earlier. It was still much higher than what I normally get though, so I was really happy about that.

IMG_9155.jpg

I'm sorry, Buzz. I didn't score as high as last time.

IMG_7007.jpg

As you can see on this listing, I'm a aosdpoifjwpoiehgpoaij. Haha, too blurry to tell.

IMG_9156.jpg

Pow pow!

IMG_7009.jpg

I seriously love just how serious Ray and Dani are in this picture.

IMG_7010.jpg

Nik is determined to battle Zurg with those two guns again!

IMG_7011.jpg

Phew, after our second battle, it was time to move on out of Tomorrowland. Or was it?

How nice that the CM was trying to help you out in trying to find the Vinylmation's that you were looking for.

I always know that when I get through the first room with Zurg on Buzz Lightyear, if my score isn't very high, then it won't get much higher from that point. ;)

We came across very nice CMs! There was only one that we ran into the next day who was very strict on the rules. She wasn't mean or anything; she just really did not deviate from any of the rules!

YEAH, I know all the good spots in that room and before! Haha, I need some secret spot after it. I used to shoot the "ear" of a door. I remember in one room, I'd turn around and face the back and if there were a Mickey head made with the door, the right ear got high points. I don't know if that was just made up or what, but I used to do that and get points. People behind me looked at me like I was crazy. Actually that might be pretty fun. Pretending to shoot in the middle of nowhere and seeing who else follows suit!

Wednesday, February 23: Vinylmation Fun with Robert the CM!

Remember when we talked to the CM at the Space Mountain gift shop? She told us to head on over to Merchant of Venus, so that's exactly what we did! Love the murals there what with it being Tomorrowland!

IMG_9157.jpg

There was no one at that counter at the moment, so we took our time looking at the Vinylmation they had there. Lots of Simbas.

IMG_7012.jpg

Then Dani ended up buying a new one to see if she would get the s'mores. Well, remember the video of the trade that happened at the pin store at DTD? Remember when we all burst out laughing because Dani had gotten it a few times already? Well ... HAHA.

You can hear in the beginning of the video I was like, "Let's pray, let's pray, let's pray." Haha, but alas, it was still the same one! How many times can one person come across the SAME Vinylmation?!? Haha.

IMG_7013.jpg

Well, you know what that mean. Let's head on over to trade with Robert! He was definitely one of our favorite CMs of the entire trip. If you watched the video, you already saw the interaction we had with him. He was so cute because he was shaking his head and going, "No, you don't want that one ..." HAHA. Seriously, we loved him. Numbers were being called out, and he was just so helpful and so fun.

IMG_7014.jpg

Again, you'll see in the video that Dani ended up choosing the Mushu one.

IMG_9159.jpg

Howard also bought a box that I picked. It was from the Park 5 set. In this video, you'll hear Robert interact with us. He was like, "da da" in an ominous way as it was being opened. He also took the trash from us. We wanted to do an Applause-o-gram for him, but it was so late when we left that it completely slipped our minds.

Well, with more Vinylmation in hand, there was more to carry as we headed on to our next land!

LOL, I'm glad my sisters and I aren't the only ones with bad vinylmation luck. And the bad thing about trading is that it seems like there are a lot of the same designs that aren't as popular. But now I want to start trading because it looks like so much fun!

Don't tell Dani I have that smores one she was looking for...:rolleyes1

OMG, you're so right. How many times can someone get the same Vinylmation? :lmao:

It was attracted to her! We just couldn't help but laugh every single time it appeared!

Yeah, the trading part was really most of the fun of it! Especially with such a huge crowd standing there holding our breath.

Hehe, don't worry; she somehow ends up getting it ;)

Wednesday, February 23: Pausing on Pooh

We headed to Fantasyland next. Here is where the Guest Assistance Card came in handy. Seriously, I'm so glad that Disney has this available because there'd be NO way I can last at WDW without it. There are times when I get sick just standing to take a shower (haha, I know I take longer showers than most because of my hair, but still, it's not THAT long!). I feel the start of the palpitations and the dizziness when the worship team leader at church asks us to stand to sing. If I had to feel this every single time we had to wait on a long line, I'd never get to experience all these rides! I really appreciated it ... haha, and not that Ray, Dani, and Nik want me to have a medical condition (they're 3 people who really care about me; my cousins even know how to take care of me when I'm sick because they've had to do it before), but they really appreciated it too!

IMG_7016.jpg

Of course, with the GAC, we miss queue stuff, but that's okay. We got to watch other people have fun with the new interactive queue at Winnie the Pooh!

IMG_9162.jpg

I was excited to see people playing with the honey since I couldn't.

I was reading the words on the pages in a singsongy voice.

IMG_9163.jpg

Of course, being on the FP line meant I was reading them out of order, haha.

IMG_9165.jpg

The interactive queue is amazing for the little kids too. Haha, and the big kids as well.

We got to the front rather quickly. Ahh, ride vehicle! Take a picture!

IMG_9167.jpg

Howard's ride vehicle pictures were pretty good.

IMG_7017.jpg

IMG_7018.jpg

We loaded ourselves into the car. The girls sat in the front, and the boys were in the back. It probably should have been the other way around because the back looks larger. We liked front row seats though!

IMG_9168.jpg

I think Howard got a great shot of Eeyore! My mom LOVES Eeyore for some reason. Remember, these are done without flash! Flash photography is such a no-no because it just ruins the magic!

IMG_7019.jpg

Don't these colors just make you feel like you're in a storybook?

IMG_7020.jpg

I know there's a Hidden Mickey somewhere in the garden. I think it's on one of the veggie signs, but I still haven't seen it yet. Or maybe I did. I don't remember.

IMG_7021.jpg

Once we got to the bouncy part with Tigger, the ride paused. Howard took a bunch of shots and got a pretty clear one of Tigger who just kept bouncing the entire time even though there was no music.

IMG_7023.jpg

I took a video of this pause because I thought it was funny to just see him bounce, bounce, bounce! You can also see just how close I was to him, and so that then started to creep me out! I'm easily creeped out. Haha, long-time readers already know that. We talk during the video, and I let them know about the Kingdom Keepers part that happened on this ride, so if you haven't read KK1, you may not want to listen. I think I have a really heavy NYC accent too ... oh, and yes, it's not actually film in the camera. I meant memory, haha.

It's funny how simple the dark rides are when you just stop and have an opportunity to see everything. When you're constantly moving, you don't really notice it all.

IMG_7030.jpg

I mean, it's really just like, cardboard cutouts!

IMG_9173.jpg

I love the tracks!

IMG_9174.jpg

The 3 of us girls were having fun squishing. It reminded me of our younger days.

IMG_7033.jpg

The boys weren't as cozy.

IMG_9175.jpg

There we go!

IMG_9176.jpg

(continued in next post)

(continued from previous post)

There goes Pooh, floating away!

IMG_7034.jpg

IMG_7035.jpg

I took a video of this part because it's the reason why I named my Build-a-Bear bear Howie Wary Bear. "Beware, beware, be a very wary bear!" Love that song. I'm glad I recorded it too because I got the girls' reactions to it as they started to remember the Heffalumps and Woozles. As we went into the rainy day scene, you see that we paused ... again! Tigger interrupted the ride this time though instead of a CM.

Don't you just love the party scene?

IMG_9179.jpg

And THEN what do you know? We paused again! We paused at least 3x on this ride. Of course, for Howard and me, it was fun because we were able to get pictures! CLEAR pictures!
IMG_7038.jpg

Haha, in mine, it looks like Pooh is putting honey on Ray's hair.

IMG_9182.jpg

This picture should come right after the end of my video because I cut it off right before HOORAY!

IMG_7039.jpg

I like mine too because it shows people in it!

IMG_9183.jpg

How adorable is that Hero Hunny pot? And did you know Pooh's name was on that chair? And Rabbit ate part of his cake already! All these details you don't see when just on the ride, but they're all there! I guess it has to be there especially for when the rides stop, haha.

IMG_7041.jpg

Before we could sit there and read all the text on those pages (I wonder if anyone actually has!), we were on our way.

IMG_9184.jpg

What a fun ride! Even though our group ages ranged from 21 to 26, we still had so much fun hanging out with Pooh!

I agree, the Pooh ride is adorable. I do sometimes miss Mr. Toad though.

I love Winnie the Pooh, it's too cute.

Good lookin' out not using your flash on the ride. Don't be that person! That's what I always say. :lmao:

Mr. Toad was one of the rides that made me nervous, but I didn't remember why until I watched a video of it last year on YouTube. Haha, it was pretty insane! I do remember being upset that it was taken away though. I loved those ride vehicles!

Yeah, Howard and I think it's kind of a fun challenge to get good pictures sans flash! I get excited when something comes out well (hehe, even when it's better than Howard's, which is rare, but it can happen!).

Mine too! My finger hurts so much! I remember during my first time riding, I kept pushing the button over and over not realizing I could just hold my finger down. THAT hurt even more!

Yup! I have a Cricut Expression, which is the biggest size that you can have. It uses a 12x12 mat and can even fit a 12x24 mat (I don't have that because I don't need to cut anything that big). I was initially going to get the original Cricut or the Create, but then Howard said that it didn't make sense to have to cut down all the paper to be 6x12. Plus, he said I might want to have the option of cutting bigger things in the future. I'm so glad that I have the E. I can mass produce a lot easier. In the beginning, I used my machine without any design software, and it was fine and all, but I did make mistakes in terms of sizing. Now I have the Gypsy, which I LOVE. It's so easy to design things, lay out all the paper on the mat, and then set it to cut and walk away from it. Beforehand, I had to cut in one color, remove, cut in another color, remove, etc. Cricut Craft Room is available now though, I believe. It's a free online program to design and then cut (requires internet access and connection to your computer). That way you can do everything that's done on the Gypsy or with Design Studio (ex. hide cuts, weld letters together).

If you're using it for scrapbooking just in terms of titles and images, a smaller one might be fine. However, there are some people who cut out big shapes for the first layer of the scrapbook, and that would require something that fits the 12x12. I know people really like the E2, which has a touch screen on it. I had already bought my E from Walmart (I have a colored one; it was from the Black Friday sale at Walmart even though I bought it like, a month later), and I'm really happy with it. Oh, if you want to be able to print and cut (ex. print pattern paper), the machine you'd need is the Imagine. I don't know much about it though because I just buy pattern paper since it's so cheap. I know some people have had issues with the Imagine, and the ink cartridges are really expensive. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions! It'd be fun to have another crafting buddy!

Thank you!! :goodvibes I've been looking around at different crafting things, but it's overwhelming! I also realized I would need to take out a small loan to purchase all the things I want/need. I guess if I just buy a few things at a time it wouldn't be so bad. I watched a YouTube video on the Gypsy, but I'm not really sure what it does?? Is it like a substitute for a Cricut cartridge?

Also, what is a Cuttlebug good for (besides having the cutest name that makes me smile every time I type it or see it :) )? Just embossing papers? Can't you buy paper already embossed? Sorry for all the questions! haha!

The Pooh ride always feels cheap to me. I wish I didn't feel that way, but I think Disney could have done an even better job on this ride (a la Journey Into the Imagination, 90's edition). I do like going on it, but I hate that you can see so many bare walls, doors, and what not. I do love the new entrance though!

Haha! And I love the picture of Ray getting close to Howard! :lmao:

I love the Pooh ride! :lovestruc There's no way I'm touching anything interactive in that queue though, I'll just watch people have fun playing with it! I'd probably pour a bottle of Purell over my hands if I touched it!

I love the pictures you were able to get because the ride stopped so many times! I can never get good pictures on that ride! :rotfl:

You should have called this the "Vinylmation" trip! :rotfl: I love watching your videos of everyone opening theirs.

Howard's photos on Buzz & Pooh came out great! I still can't get up the nerve to watch cheat videos on the high scoring targets in Buzz. I feel like I'm cheating :lmao:

Hey, just started reading your report today and got through every single update. It seems that we both had first time trips without our parents this year. I especially enjoyed reading about your train experience...I've always wondered what riding a train was like. Seems more fun than being in an airplane because at least you have a view!

Also, I LoLed in real life at your observation of how they separated all the ethnic dolls from the White dolls. Too funny!

You guys are so cute in all your pictures! I love the one of you guys with Mickey and Minnie and Mickey was busy looking at your ring and Minnie was posing already. Such a GIRL. :cutie:

Your kitchen stuff is sooo cute! You are going to have a really cute kitchen! I think one day I will get the salt and pepper mills too. I keep looking at them too!

BTW, I love HH. I rarely eat it nowadays but I sooo remember when I used to make the cheeseburger one all the time...

Great updates!

Ack, I missed some updates and am just now getting caught up. What would I do without some of these random slow nights at work? :confused3

What a score with the "VIP" parking space :thumbsup2 Nice.

I totally love the TTA/Peoplemover.

Um and I totally need to go on one of your next trips as an honorary member. I mean, I'm asian, and I love to eat. Although my "mini-me" may have to tag along and then I guess the trip would be totally not the same. Meh.

The cousin shots are so cute!

Oh and I saw your blog post about your "in-the-dark-crafting." Very impressed.

I think I met Robert at Merchant of Venus when I was doing some trading once, too. He's really nice!

Winnie the Pooh frequently stops when we ride it, too. I wonder if Mr. Toad's Wild Ride broke down that often.:rotfl:

I made it through 15 pages and we're only through Day one: Amtrak- it looks like fun, but girl you are crazy-- flying is quick and dirty!!! Secondly, you guys spent so much time shopping-- I would have gone crazy. At least you managed to have a lot of fun! I hate shopping. (But I do kind of want a vinylmation after watching that video). Finally, so sorry about the wedding stress. Hope it's getting better!

PS I thought it was so sweet that you guys split up into girls vs guys rooms. You are so much more traditional than I am, but I think it's really commendable!!!
