Just adding my two cents worth...
We use the TIW card. Marc has done the math over and over and we just can't make the dining plans work for us.
With that said, I agree with Laura, you know what you are going to eat so take a minute or two and see what works best for you!

Just an idea... Because we usually eat breakfast in our room (DVC one bedroom has the full kitchen) we found that we liked the flexibility of no dining plan... if you're staying in a studio you will have a kitchenette, so you may wind up doing the same.

We've stayed at OKW twice and loved it. It has such a lovely, laid-back feel to it that seems to match the "theme" of your trip.

I say price out what you really think you will eat at each of those restaurants and compare that to the dining plan cost.....if it is close, I would just go with the dining plan....but hey, I like the dining plan!

When doing that make sure you take into consideration not just your meals but your snacks into that calculation cuz we're talking Food and Wine LOL!!!! So whatever ends up being the most cost effective for you...with DVC you have up to 48 hours to add the dining plan so you have some time to become comfortable with what you want to do!!!!! And if you need help you know I will add it all up and my totals include price and tip LOL!!!

We found that we saved more with TiW versus the DDP in January. Remember, you get 20% off, BUT, they tack on an 18% gratiuity as well.

We don't always get a dessert, and sometimes at a CS we just want the entree-no side. Paying OOP gave us some extra flexibility back in January when we had many TS' booked. I believe we saved around $150. I would take the advice here - price out what you are going to eat and see if it adds up to less or more than the DDP.

I know in May I liked having the freedom of ordering an appetizer if I wanted, sometimes I am not the biggest fan of dessert. I much rather try an appetizer most times.

Flexibility is key. I am so excited to stay at OKW. It's going to be great to explore a new resort and get a preview of DVC.
