Wow! Thanks for all of the information. I really really appreciate it.Ok well the buses I would say is the only thing I'm not a huge fan of. They do have multiple bus stops, I believe there are 5 (wow I never really payed that much attention to that!!!) but that to me isn't a big deal. The problem is that it seems that it takes a while for the buses to come to the parks. We usually wait quite a while at the parks for the buses to come. But to me that's pretty minimal as the resort is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! Things to look for, hmmm. Well if you go into the hallway kinda thing between the store and Olivia's there are a bunch of pictures of DVC members. It's neat to see them and see how far back they go. Plus people put them in frames and I like looking at different people's taste in things!! I love the music there, all Caribbean music, really puts me in the mood. The sidewalks are really neat, they have shells and stuff in them and, looks like the beach! My favorite part is the lighthouse, very pretty. Does that count as a light fixture LL? Cause if it is, I think it's the best one at Disney!! Either way I'm sure you will be able to find some nice lights there as well! There are 4 pools there, but of course the main pool is the neatest! It has a slide that's shaped like a sandcastle with the exit in the shape of a mickey!! I've never found the pools incredibly crowded and we usually go to the main pool. They also have I think 2 hot tubs if you're into that. I know you didn't ask for this but our favorite buildings to stay in are at the Pennisular bus stop. It's the first stop so you do have to drive around the resort but I like seeing the rest of the resort. Plus on the way back at the end of the day you're the first one off. The buildings we like to stay in are right behind the bus stop so it's not a far walk either. We like building 23 the best because if you can get a room that has a view of the pond there with the fountain and it's so beautiful!! But buildings 26-23 are really good. Plus if you get at the Peninsular stop then if you miss the bus you can see it coming back and it'll stop at Miller's Road bus stop and then usually the hospitality house so you can usually get to the hospitality house while the bus goes to miller's road and then catch it there so you don't have to wait for another bus. It's not a far walk although you may have to walk a bit fast, but believe me it's not far!! I hope that all makes sense!! Oh and I almost forgot, look at the banisters on the stairs and the balcony, there's a hidden something there!!! Can you guess? Sorry it's so long and if you have any other questions feel free to ask!!
Well...blister socks are my name for the socks that are supposed to help reduce blisters forming on your feet. Apparently double layer socks help with that as well as the socks that wick moisture away from your feet.So glad to hear there is no shoe drama!!!! I hope that works out for you!!!! What are blister socks?!?!?!?!
Do you know in my excitement I forgot to hit the subscribe button???
Now, I have tons of things to catch up on -- I will be back later to comment!
I can't believe I did that!![]()
Where can I find said socks?!?!?!?!? I am intrigued!!!!
I meant to say this last night in my post, and I forgot:
First of all, I think you always look lovely in your Disney attire in your pictures, but I do understand what it is like to feel like you want to look different/better/I forgot the word you used.....but you know what I mean. I am sort of feeling the same way about my traditional Disney attire too! I love my Disney shirts, and I know Megs gets such a kick out of them when I wear them, but I feel sometimes sloppy in them. I want to be comfortable, but look pulled together and "pretty," and sometimes I just feel that I look thrown together and frumpy. I see other people who are there that look so pulled together, and would never be embarrassed in years to come by the apparel they have on. I don't always feel that way about the clothes I wear there......I want to correct this too!!! Let's team up to search the world (I mean internet of course) over for comfortable, yet attractive apparel that is worthy of Disney. Let's glam ourselves up!!!!
Exactly! I already have one outfit planned. Only 5 more to go!That is the problem I have with those t-shirts too----I don't want to look like a box in my pictures!

I really like the shirts that you got me they were a little nicer than your typical t-shirt and they made me feel more feminine so I'm definitely taking those. I'm working on finding some nice shirts that I can wear that are definitely Disney but still more girlie....I might have to go online and see what I can't find on sale...especially with the holiday this weekend LOL!
When I saw the pictures of myself in my sleeveless dresses, (did I not look in the mirror??) I decided never again will I let those babies show unless I get them shaped up. Somehow all this Dissing doesn't do much for arm flab.......
I have a couple of those shrugs and should have thrown them in, I'm sure they would have been very comfortable in the heat, but I would have looked better in my pictures. Oh well, the sacrifices we make......![]()
Yes, I want more girlie shirts. Your shirts were a different type then mine though.I really like the shirts that you got me they were a little nicer than your typical t-shirt and they made me feel more feminine so I'm definitely taking those. That is exactly how I felt when I looked at the pictures from last year and that tank top I wore to Epcot. YUCK. I am hoping a light weight jersey short sleeve one would be okay. I will make it okay, I'm willing to sacrafice to look better. When I saw the pictures of myself in my sleeveless dresses, (did I not look in the mirror??) I decided never again will I let those babies show unless I get them shaped up. Somehow all this Dissing doesn't do much for arm flab.......

I will think about showing you my outfit.Do we get to see pictures of this outfit!!!!Please?!?!??!!?
I liked the looks of those shirts too!!! Where did you get them LL?!?!?!? Ooohhh, holiday sales!!!! I think I have some shopping to do!!!!
I know what you mean---Tom and I went to this fancy dancy cocktail party for his work recently, and I wore one of my favorite dresses. The shrug I usually wear with it got destroyed (which I had forgotten until that night) so I had to go out without it.....I didn't think it would be a big deal......UNTIL I SAW THE PICTURES!!!!!I should have been arrested for that crime against fashion!!!!
What can I say to make you show us the pictures?!??!?!!? Hmmmm......
I too have Asics running shoes, and they are just wonderful! They are like little clouds on my feet.I only use them when I run, but I think I need to get another pair for everything else, as my Nike's are killing me lately.
You can buy your MNSSHP tickets any time up to the day before and still get the discount early sale rate I believe. Why not hold off until you get down there to be sure if your concerned? My parents were down there for a miserable event in 2007. It poured constantly and both parades were cancelled and only a partial fireworks show went on. They complained when they got home, and were given one day park passes.
Exactly! I already have one outfit planned. Only 5 more to go!![]()
There is NOTHING wrong with your park attire. As long as you are comfy then you are all set. I'm far from a girly girl but I am seeking of feeling frumpy in my oversized tshirts at Disney. I need to find some better ones with some shape! You guys are cracking me up.
Okay, keep in mind this is coming from the girl who takes 3.5 seconds to put her make up on, if her hair does not do what she wants it to do in 3.5 seconds it goes into a ponytail, and someone who would not even carry a purse until she got out of high school.
My park attire which anyone who is reading my PTR can attest. Is yes a frumpy Disney shirt, capris, flip flops, and a cap over my ponytailed head.
I cant wait to see the outfits you come up with, who knows maybe by my next Disney trip I will be beyond my frumpy Disney shirts too.
I still think you may need one or two new bags though.Just saying, you might want to look.
I just called my Dad and he said he would upload them on Friday Morning. I don't get the specific uploading time but...Friday!Well good....I'm glad the picture is in route...hoping it arrives SOON!!!!
Minnie--I am having some bag drama too.....need to find something new.....not happy at all!!! Any help is greatly appreciated from all of you!
The bag will be discussed in a future installment. Here is a little teaser...I am taking TWO bags.Okay, I am caught up again! Whew!
So, are you taking the mailbag again??? I need to know so I can decide if I need to buy one for myself.![]()
I think that is what I am going to do, just buy the tickets when I get there.for Asics running shoes. Only type I buy.
I bought by MVMCP tickets at 4pm the day before the event and I still got the DVC discount. It ended up being a sold out party, so I would not worry about the tickets too much either. I plan to buy mine when I get down there.
I do! Friday you will see it! As long as the picture doesn't turn out hideous. You have one outfit planned and you didn't tell us what it is?! Shame on you!![]()
