Deli to replace Boardwalk Bakery later this summer

Unless the service at the new deli is much faster than it was at the bakery, I think they will have to pre-make the sandwiches. Even with the pre-made sandwiches at the bakery in our experience the service was always painfully slow.

I find it interesting that the breakfast sandwiches come with a choice of side, but under "sides" there is only one choice right now - bacon.

And for what it is worth, I unapologetically enjoy my Italian subs with mayo and my hotdogs with ketchup.

Just waiting for the reviews of this Northeastern-style deli. Not sure I believe they can pull it off unless the chefs and prep people have experience in NY/NJ.

So I just read that the restaurant is replacing the ESPN club as well? Does anyone know when it will be open? We will be at the Boardwalk in November.

No, the Cake Bake Shop is going where ESPN was.

There is no place in NY or NJ that i know of that has this Cr... on the menu. Bacon eggs and onion UMMMMMMMMM.
Every Deli here (even the shady ones) has a great Bacon and egg sandwich with lots of bacon on a plain old hard roll or any Bagel I choose and they are great... Cheese if you want but it will not be cheddar..... Thousand island dressing on a Pastrami Reuben..... seriously.... Chicken salad wrap with grapes and walnuts this is no NY deli....... Sounds like Panera to me but likely not made to order.

In the past you could get your refillable mug refilled at the Boardwalk Bakery. If anyone's there in the first few days, can you tell me if it's still a refill spot.

Not impressed at all with the menu. I don't like bagel sandwiches so nothing I would eat for breakfast unless they have blueberry muffins or chocolate croissants. Kale is gross, I'm sick of every place adding it to salads these days. The Chicken Salad wrap with grapes and walnuts sounds totally unappetizing to me. Also not a fan of ciabatta bread or plant based faux food.
