Our "comp" tickets have to be converted over to RFID ticketing before entering the parks. The new touch-point entries do not read the comp ticket bar codes so they have to be changed at Guest Relations or a ticketing office to "hard card" (green) plastic tickets for park entry. Comps cannot at this time be linked to FP+ or MDE, at least that was true a couple of weeks ago.

I don't have access to the HUB right now to send you the link but it is explained there.

Just confirming 11290 - neither the MEP or CM comp tickets can be linked to MDE.

Consider joining the CM board, lots of further discussion is there.

Not sure this is correct. The comped tickets uploaded to the system just fine. I simply opened each one up individually and then added them using the MDE site. As I stated, I can't tell how it will prioritize the ticket usage, but I can definitely choose FP+ attractions (and I'm staying at a Disney hotel, if that matters).

So again, how do I prioritize or re-upload just the tickets I need so that I can be align my FP+ with the rest of my group.

Still don't know how you were able to upload them since all I've been told by IT for the past few weeks is that CM comps cannot be entered into MDE.

Sorry but it is correct.

If you go to the HUB, Complimentary Admission you will see this message (had my wife send it to me a couple of minutes ago):

News Flash:
Do not link your eTickets to My Disney Experience at this time.

MEP's, Guest Passes and eticketing does not play (work) with MDE or FP+ at this time. I've been told probably by Summer but who knows for sure when. Eticketing (comps) have to be exchanged at GR or a ticket window for hard card RFID media.

You can upload the ticket numbers but they are not valid for use since that eticket is not used for entry. There will be a different ticket used for entry since they have to be converted to the green card and that ticket media will not have the eticket number.

This was posted in the HUB FAQ's on 01/15/2014 (Main >> Walt Disney World - Complimentary Admission and In-Park FastPass Testing):

Q: Will I now be able to link my complimentary admission media to My Disney Experience and make Disney FastPass+ selections in advance?
A: At this time, please do not link your Main Entrance Passes, Guest Passes or complimentary eTickets to your My Disney Experience account. More information will be shared later this year around linking complimentary admission media to My Disney Experience, as well as making Disney FastPass+ selections in advance.

Complimentary admission and in-park FastPass+ testing
With MyMagic+ testing expanding across the Walt Disney World Resort, Cast Members are invited to make same-day, same-park FastPass+ selections via in-park kiosks where Disney FASTPASS Service (paper tickets) is no longer available. This capability is available to Cast using their Main Entrance Passes, Guest Passes and complimentary tickets that have been converted to RF media prior to entering the park.

FWIW: I haven't worked Main Entrance as much lately, but I've yet to see a Magic Band with eticketing "work" in the touch-points and when I've worked a FP location, I've not seen any pre-selected FP's work with any CM ticketing.

I just tried linking my 1-day CM comp hoppers on MDE and could not do it.

I've had people come to entry and say they did but when it was checked on the tablet, they weren't. Haven't heard of anyone being able to yet but then I really haven't checked all that much. Was told we couldn't at this time and would be told when and that was that. Thought the HUB said it pretty well.

Carterman/OP ~ now you can choose to use your Silver Pass and save the comp tickets for relatives, friends, or someone in your group to use. Because group members have regular tickets linked to their MDE file, their Fp+ selections that are in MDE will remain intact.

When you convert your paper comp tickets at Guest Relations, take a Sharpie with you to make note of the expiration date on each plastic ticket. That will be the only way you will know when it expires.
