We are staying in cabin 7068 and we learned from this forum that this is a great location. As a matter of fact, Deck 7 is great, according to the Disney Forum. This will be our first cruise ever and we are looking forward to it.:bounce: :Pinkbounc

We are staying in this room on the Wonder, June 13th cruise..

This will be our first cruise, and the AAA travel agent said "she thought this would be a nice stateroom", since i didn't request a veranda. Was concerned about sea sickness also.. Didn't know whether we should stay high up on the ship or not.. Guess we will find out.

When is your cruise? If it is after June 13th, i will post after we get back.

Anny :)

We were in 7002 (right next door) on our last cruise and LOVED the location. It was very convenient by stair to the pools etc, and if you are a couple without kids, you are on the more "adult side" of the ship with the adult pool, spa, and clubs all being forward. It's very quiet and since you are at the end of the hall, no one will be walking past your door. I love being up high on the ship.

I don't know about seasickness since I never have gotten seasick in my life, even when I was on a much smaller boat in much choppier waters. In fact, the motion of the ship has the opposite effect on me and makes me very sleepy and relaxed. I slept like a baby every night, and often during the day on a lounge chair!
I did not really notice a difference in motion in different parts of the ship, though I tried to tell. The first night when lots of people were getting seasick, they were getting seasick midship and on lower decks as well as forward and upper decks.

Hope that helps!

Lisa

DVCLady. Let me know how room 7000 was for motion. Also, what is opposite the "end" wall. Anything noisy?
You are still with us for the Oct. 19th Magic, right? Girl, you sure get to cruise often. Will you adopt me?:p

We were in 7005 and I really liked the location. It was two short flights of steps from the pool, and two short flights down to the kids clubs. Once your up on deck 9, the trip down to the beverage station is pretty short and you get to see the view the whole way.

I believe that there is some crew type area in front of the blank wall. We saw MANY crew members in the white uniforms going through it, including the head of human resources who was a really nice guy.

It was a really quiet area. As far as motion, you can feel the boat moving. We were on the western, and I think we were travelling somewhat faster than normal due to all the ports of call. There were times when in the shower, I had to pay attention to keep my balance. I am somewhat motion sickness prone, but I took a long acting dramamine once a day and had no problem on the Magic. We chartered a fishing boat on Cozumel, which was a different story though!

Thank you Lisa. I wondered if there was a door at the end of that hall. My TA thought maybe it was bridge crew quarters or bridge related storage. I thought maybe if it was bridge crew, they might have a separate entrance from above, (or both, most likely). I think Dramamine is in my future. Oh, and I read your 5/11 cruise report. I'll definately avoid Boris! I love to hear recomendations, but Hate being told what to do! LOL

Yeah - beyond the door at the end of the hallway is all crew stuff. In fact, it'll be open, and you'll go through it on the way to your "lifejacket/emergency drill" designated meeting location. Take a look around!
