Wow! A whole bunch of updates in a row. Awesome!
Ugh. I hate it when they make you hug. We had a PP photographer do this to us too at HS. It was really awkward. This is where Disney could really make an improvement. There are some really awesome PP photographers but it's really hit or miss. And for us, mostly miss. I've heard that they don't require any photography background/experience; that they just tell you what settings to put the camera in and just point and shoot. I feel that Disney really wants to just pull in the money from the MM and not have to put any money/effort into PP training.
Haha. I love love love when people come up with their own names because they can't remember what it's called. Such a riot!
Sooooo close to those fries!
That is a really long wait outside - I'd be upset too!
This sounds so much like something I would do. It's because of people like him that give people like me complexes about doing the "wrong" thing! And it's a buffet. The great part about a buffet is that you get to eat food in whatever manner you choose. Even chilli on your plate instead of a bowl. Horrors!
It always puts you out of sorts when you forget something and when you forget medicine, I'm sure the feeling is even worse. Poor Josh!
I have never heard of anyone doing this. You'd think that the server would say something but then, maybe he or she wouldn't know if the host seated them or if they just seated themselves. Wouldn't that be just the same as going in to a restaurant and just sitting down? I wonder if they would say anything??
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!! Silver lining to your 40min ADR wait!
Whoo hoo! I bet this felt really good after your Trails End experience.
We have another one. Love it! "Mickey's After Party" can really cover any of the parties at WDW. So now we have that one, plus Hotdog Charlie's, Sea Tavern, and Blizzard Expedition (this is what my mom calls EE).
I love it when CMs play along!
So disappointed that you skipped out on EE but you got me a yeti, so you're forgiven.
The PP photographer was kind of a jerk, and they didn’t get any of the train station in the picture. I’m not sure why they take pictures of people in front of things then cut out the thing they're supposed to be photographing. He kept moving us into an awkward hugging position, and when we still tried to face the camera he would yell “Act like you like each other!”. It was kind of annoying because we were trying to look normal in the picture while he was telling us to cling onto each other in a weird way.

Last trip I scraped my knee getting into Jurassic Park River Adventure our first day, and this time I banged my shin on the seat getting into PotC.
On the way out we looked through the Main Street shops. At some point we passed Casey’s Corner and Josh goes “is that Hotdog Charlies?’

We were only there for a short while (and it was too out of the way of where we were other days to convince Josh to go back to try the burger and fries at Territory Lounge), but I enjoyed it.

Now I know there can be a wait, and I know it’s a busier season than the one we usually go in, but we didn’t wait anywhere else. In fact we never have. The wait might've been fine if it was nice out, but it was so cold that night too, and the waiting area was outside. We couldn’t go anywhere else because there isn’t anything there, and we didn’t know how long the wait was going to be. I assumed minutes because they didn't tell us. I had figured we’d go to Crockett’s Tavern before or after the meal to kill some time, but looking at it when we got there I realized it was part of Trails End, and the “tavern” was really a to go window.

Josh was being shown around with the chef by this time so I walked up to him first, and the chef with him gave me an annoyed look and told me there were bowls for the chili…it made me feel even more awkward.

During the meal Josh also realized he left one of his more important medicines at home.

Not helping any we had a family with a college aged son next to us and not only we’re they being very loud, but they also invited other people to join them halfway through the dinner. Like they called other people and they arrived, and then they kind of gave their table to them. It seemed like they possibly knew somebody there, but it kind of made me wonder if part of the hold up with reservations was people dining that didn’t have ADRs.

We both had a lot of fun on the sleigh ride. There were a lot of lights, and some campsites were decorated so much. I have some pictures, but my phone camera never does lights justice.

The next day started for us at 9 am when I awoke to a great e-mail. We had a coupon for Shulas that night! It was a really good one too, for your birthday week you can get one entree free. That’s amazing considering the cost of their entrees! I had signed up for the list with Josh’s birthday, but had kind of forgotten about it. Luckily they send it a week before your birthday, and the reservation just so happened to be that night. (It was not planned I had no idea when they sent them out which is why it was so lucky).

e briefly explored the hotel. We found a little area with some rocking chairs to sit in, and visited Zawandi Marketplace, but then we continued on to the bus area. Near the bus area we heard some people talking about how much they enjoyed “Mickey’s after party”.

Heading into AK a lot of people complimented my leggings. A cast member even came up to us and asked “if Ariel was okay on dry land”. He told Josh to “throw me back into the sea” if my fins came back.
I love it when CMs play along!
I decided to skip out on EE this time, and go to the shop while Josh rode. I bought @DexLabDeeDee a little yeti because EE is her favorite.
