Dee's Atkins Journel-comments welcome

I've been cheat free since the beginning of April, until this weekend. It started Friday, I had a few beers, but no junk food. I was proud of myself over that. I did good on saturday. My problem was Sunday. We started the day by going out to breakfast. My omlett came with fried potatoes, and I ate them.
Then we went over to the in-laws for Sunday dinner. It was speggetti and meatballs, with garlic bread. I had some, then I ate a cookie. Since I knew that I blew it big time, I figured I would eat something healthy, so I had a bananna.
I weighed myself this AM, and I gained 4LBS. Is that possible? How could I gain 4LBS in 1 day!!!
I'm back on plan today.
Here is todays meal:

Breakfast: string cheese
Lunch: salad, from mcdonalds
Dinner: Chicken & cheese

Thanks guys for the words of encouragement you wrote in my journal.
 
Probably just water weight. Don't fret and get back OP it will come right back off.:D
 
Definitely water weight, Dee - no worries!! It will be gone in no time! ::yes::

We all slip now and then. The difference between WISHers and those who give up is that we just pick ourselves up and get back on plan. You can do this!! Easy?? NO!! Worth it??? YES!!!

I'm having a hard time getting back on track. Today is Wednesday. I've been off track since Sunday. I've been doing allot of running around with kids to baseball games, practices ect...There really hasn't been time for a dinner. I work full time, and then after work It's all about the kids. Last night ended up being pizza and french fries for dinner. We ate then had to rush out to baseball. After baseball we had to rush home to do homework, then I had to work at my son's school carnival. I left the carnival early so that I could give the kids baths and put them to bed.
My new start will be Thursday, tommorrow. I already messed up big time today with chocolate. But I'm so disapointed that I lost it and cheated. SO tommorrow will start a new day, with my new diet plan.

Ok, I'm back on induction today.

This is my meal plan.

Breakfast: hamburger
Lunch Philly cheesesteak
Dinner: chicken & cheese

I'm not going to weigh myself until Monday..I've cheated for a few days, so I don't want to get upset about weight gained. I'll give myself until Monday to lose the water weight gained by cheating. So today is Thursday, I'll weigh myself Monday. My goal is to be back at 195. This is my pre-cheat weight.

I did okay last night. I did eat 2 morning start bars yesterday.
Todays meal plan:

Breakfast 1 egg **also ate a slim jim on the run
Snack: cheese
Lunch: peppers & eggs
Dinner: philly cheese steak

We are going to my son's school carnival tonight. I will have a moring start bar if I really need a snack.
I'm still 4Lbs heavier then I was last week. I have 21 days until I go on vacation. If I could lose 10LBs in the next 21 days I would be so happy.

Dee, hang in there!! You can do this! I understand all about the evening running - I've got 2 teenagers! :rolleyes: The chances of getting a decent dinner are slim on a lot of nights. Just do the best you can. If you do have to compromise on dinner, make it JUST dinner - eat healthy the rest of the day.

I hope your holiday weekend is filled with fun, healthy food and exercise! :sunny:

I'm trying to be good. The running around got the best of me this week. I have a 8 year old and an 18 month old. My husband tries to help out. But If I left feeding the kids up to him, they would eat french fries and candy every night. For me the key to staying on program is having healthy food made and available. I haven't been pre making my food. So it is no wonder I'm feeling rushed and cheatng on the diet. At least this is the start of a long weekend. I'm a little over an hour away from the Jersey shore. And I may take a trip to the shore this weekend, I plan to get some walking in on the boardwalk if I do go.

I've been so bad. I'm really a little mad at myself, because I was doing so good. But that is the pattern I've followed for the past six months, once I cheat I loose control.

Well I'm back on today:

Breakfast Italian sausage
Lunch Philly cheesesteak
Dinner: Maybe spareribs

I will not weigh myself until the day before my vacation 6/17. I'm 9 days away from vacation, and my only goal is to be at my pre cheat weight of 197. Again, my long term goal is October 28, to be at 150.

You sound committed and ready to get down to business! Good for you! ::yes:: I've done my share of slipping, too, and I find myself re-committing every day. We can do this!

I have the induction headache. I have to try and stick with this, because everytime I restart I get the headache.
I did good yesterday. I didn't cheat, but I did have a diet Ice tea. No sugar but it does have caffiene.

Todays menu

Breakfast: 2 pieces sausage
Lunch: 3 spareribs
Dinner: hot dogs and sauwerkraut
Snack: Wings

I have to work the candy stand for my son's baseball team. So after work, I'll rush home, eat then rush out to the candy stand. This will keep me busy.

The headache is gone!
I did good last night.
I bought these new low carb frozen dinners called lifechoices. Did anyone ever hear of them. I plan to have a 12 carb frozen dinner today. It's beef with mushrooms. It looks good.
I also bought a lean Cuisine low carb meal. This is 9 grams, green beens and chicken.

Todays meals are:
Breakfast: slices of bacon
Snack: morning start bar 2 grams
Lunch: wings
Dinner: frozen dinner 12 grams
snack: cheese

I'm back from Vacation and back on program. I went off the diet big time at Disney. I'm on day 3 of a loose Atkins induction. I'm allowing myself the morning start bars for the next few days. I don't feel like going cold turkey off of sweets yet.
I've been off of my diet for about 5 weeks. And I gained 11 pounds. I feel like I gained 30 pounds. I should have gained 30LBs for how much I ate.
Well I'm up for another job that I really need to lose weight for.
So as of today I'm 208. I'm starting slow and haven't given up caffiene yet. So my mini goal is to be 199 by 7/22. If I go strict induction I can do it.

Well I'm still sticking to the program. I started with a loose ATkins for a few weeks, allowing low carb wraps and morning start bars. I don't think I lost any weight while eating this stuff. I've been on induction now for 5 days and I'm already down 5LBs. I'm in Ketosis and have that taste in my mouth, so I no it is working.
The good things about starting slow this time with the morning start bars was that I did not get that induction headache that I always get.
The past two weeks I've been eating allot of buffalo wings, chicken salad, parm crusted chicken & sausage peppers & onions.
I didn't make my last goal, but that is ok. I have a new mini goal, I'm going to the Jersey shore 8/15 for a few days, and I would like to be 197. My second mini goal is to be at 185 by 10/28. So that is 20 LBS in almost 3 months.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that I get much lower than my 185 goal by October.

Today I had
Breakfast Sausage peppers & onions for breakfast
Lunch chicken salad
I have an idea for dinner. I'll fry up a little hamburger and crumble it. I'll get some Ragotta cheese, and some parm cheese and Mozzarella. Combine it all together with the hamburger and bake it. I'll top it with tomato sauce. I think Hunt's has sauce in a can that is only 3 grams of carbs for a quarter cup. I don't know how this will taste, so I'll have my wings as a backup.

For tommorrow, I plan to make more chicken salad, wings & sausage with peppers.
I'll do this so I have food on hand and am not tempted to cheat.

Friday will be tough because I'm going to a bridal shower. I might just snack on the cold cuts. But there will be a ton of goodies. And I just love all of the dips. Whenever there is an event thrown by these friends, there is a whole table with all different dips and chips, very creative and tasty dips.
 
I made the ragotta cheese mix last night and it was very good. I felt like I was eating Lasagne.
I believe this is the appx carb count.

4OZ ragotta cheese 4 carbs
3OZ shedded Mozzella-list on pack as 0 carbs
2-3 oZ of Parm cheese 0 carb
1/4 lb hamburger, cooked and crumbled o carb
2 oz hunts tomato sauce in the red can 2 carbs
Mix everything together pour sause and some Mozzarella over the top and bake for about 15-20 minutes
6 grams of carbs.
 
Last night for dinner I had ham. I think they call it a ham steak. It was a total of 4 carbs for a large slice. I pan cooked it in a lightly greased pan. Then I topped it with shredded chedder cheese. It was very good.
I had the urge for something different last night, like a pastry. I resisted. I made it to one full week of induction.
Today is a difficult day, because of a bridal shower and I totally forgot that it is my anniverary. So the plan is this, make a quick stop at the shower. And me and Husband go out for Lobster.

Todays meals are:

Breakfast Sausage peppers & onions
lunch chicken wings cheese, pickle
Dinner Lobster, green beans, salad
I know I'm going a little heavy on the veggies, but at least it's all on program.
 
The diet is going strong. I'm of day 10 of induction. I have noticed that my appetite is decreasing. I need to weigh myself, but will wait until friday which is the end of my induction.

My plan today:
Hot sausage for breakfast
parm crusted chicken lunch
string cheese for snack

Dinner, still up in the air. I might just have a big salad.
 
Day 11 of induction
Well, I changed my mine on the big salad for dinner last night. I made that fake lasagne. I made it with more hamburger and it was even better.

todays meal plan:

Breakfast sausage
Lunch Chicken salad
Dinner: fake Lasagne
Snack Cheese.

I seem to be eating allot of cheese. I'm not too worried because my fake lasagne will be all gone after tonight.
I'll wait intil Friday to weigh myself. I do feel like I lost weight. My clothes fit better. I believe my downfall is when I start eating sweets. Even the Atkins stuff. I spiral out of control every time. Reading back on this journel has helped me see that.

I may have to try your mock lasagne - it sounds delish!
