Deep Fried Coca-Cola????

I think I would like to try this but I would only let myself have a bite or two because I think my arteries would clog up on the spot, lol.

DD won a $50 gift certificate last week in a dessert contest at work. Her entry: Fried oreos!

Am I the only one who has actually tried this?!

We had a deep fried coke "float" at the State Fair of Texas on Monday. Among 5 of us, we couldn't finish one serving. I think DS15 hit the nail on the head when he observed that what people like in Coke is the fizz; without the fizz, it is just flat Coke, and no one likes flat Coke. Plus, at the bottom the balls of dough get very soggy.

But that's the beauty of going to the fair with a family of 5; we get one order of lots of things. Most of the time we don't buy more.

BUT, at the same stands that sold the fried Coke "floats", they were selling deep fried peanut butter, jelly and banana sandwiches...now those are TRULY good! (Again, in small quantities...we each had about 2 bites and that was enough.)
