Is anyone else nervous about not recieving their deed?
We've never purchased any type of "timeshare" (I know hate to use the word).
We signed and mailed final check in Beginning of April.
I have checked for the deed being filed with the link on this board and we are not there.
I called my rep she said everything is okay, that they did recieve everything, but DH is Really getting nervous. ( I must admit I am a bit nervous myself. Although if it wasn't Disney I would probably be alot more nervous.)

Any and all calming thoughts would be helpful. LOL

Did you buy new or resale? We bought new @ SSR at the end of January '04 and our deed just appeared on the Orange County Comptroller's website less than 2 weeks ago. No worries because our expected occupancy date was early June. I received a letter about 2 weeks ago from DVC to let us know that the deed would be in the mail to us -- but I already downloaded a copy from Orange County.
As you said, it's Disney -- nothing to be worried about. Just enjoy the thoughts of going home.

You should have gotten a copy when you closed and the paperwork sent to DVC. If you've gotten a copy of the deed before recording and Disney has you in their system, you are all set. The true recorded original deed can take 2-3 months or more to come back.

I guess I should have mentioned I bought new at SSR.

Thank you all for your present responds and any future comments would still be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the same boat. Someone posted that they are about 2 weeks behind when your paperwork says you'll close. I checked mine recently (I sent paperwork early April) and I belive I was not set to close until early July. I figured I may start to worry mid July then.

I did get my Clubhouse via e-mail and receivd my pin number for the new website. So, we are in teh system to some extent. Just no deed yet. I did get a mailing in May that was a confirmation of receiving paperwork (or something to that extent) that said we would close around the time it stated in our paperwork.

I would look up the closing date in your paperwork and then give it at least 2 weeks. (Showing DH teh paperwork saying that they're not late yet should help)

I do not think you can close until the building is complete. I think ours is scheduled for early July. I'll tell you when I find my name on the Orange County site if you tell me when you find yours.:)

It's been awhile since I've purchased but if you are financing through DVC I'm not sure if you do receive the deed right away. Can someone let me know if I'm remembering correctly that you don't get the actual deed until the mortgage is paid off?
