Any advantage one over the other? Only things I can think of are the seperate entrance for the lock off, and the fact that they have their own A/C controls (they do, don't they?)

Yes, separate entrance and AC controls are in the lock-off. Lock-off will also have the kitchenette, Dedicated will have more storage space. Most dedicated 2BRs will not have a balcony from the 2nd BR, lock-offs do have the balcony (in most cases).

All keys will open either/both entrances with the lock-off since it is a 2BR and not a 1BR and separate Studio.

Enjoy!

I think it depends on who will be in the villa. If it is multiple couples, than I think the lock off would be nice allowing each to come and go without the studio couple going through the living room. If it is a family with little kids, I think the dedicated is nice not worrying about little ones leaving thru the studio door.

We were in a 2-bed dedicated at Kidani last week and the 2nd bedroom had their own a/c control panel. But when we've had a 2-bed dedicated at SSR, there was only one panel.

We are scheduled to stay in a 2 bedroom dedicated at BLT in July. Does anyone know the specific differences of a lockoff vs. dedicated at BLT? Should we try and get a lockoff instead?

We like the dedicated for the 2 queen beds in the second bedroom. I don't remember about the control panel. We were in BLT in January when it was freezing!!!

My main concern (and we'll be at OKW, no kids) is that the other couple we'll be with may not like having it as cool as I am accustomed to keeping things. IF at night they would have their own A/C controls it would make for a much better trip--.
Sounds like the lock-off would be the thing to request!!
Thanks guys!!!

More questions--I assume the # of 2 bedroom lock-offs will be limited? Or restricted to certain buildings???
And does the lock-off bedroom have an entrance into the "main" area w/o having to go outside and in the front door???

OKW has 274 Dedicated 2BRs and 230 Lock-offs. Most of those end up being reserved as 1BRs and Studios, but you can reserve a lock-off 2BR. They are located in every building at OKW. The 2nd BR will have 2 queen beds - there are no sleep sofas in the OKW studios.

There is a common door (which may be locked from each side) from the Studio leading into the 1BR living room. Your guests will not need to go outside to get into the living room! :)

Enjoy!

Excellent. That settles it. I'll try and reserve a lock-off.
THanks for the expert assistance!!!!!
