I don't know about you but I am sick and tired of being nervous to watch certain television/movies with the anticipation of a vomit scene. Why do they find it necessary to show that?? Do they show someone going diarrhea or whats in the toilet after?? Same difference in my opinion. So can we please use this thread to warn us of the offensive act?? I would love to see any of the Jacka$$ movies but wouldn't dare!!!! Wish there was a screening for that. So if you know of any past/present TV shows or movies where they actually show someone up chuck please post here!!
Sincerely,

LOL I love the title! Seriously though I hate that too! I have watched two movies in the last couple months where they actually show stuff coming out of the people's mouths! :scared1::headache: Can't remember the one I saw last week but one of them was P2 - and its a good movie, but I can't handle seeing vomit.

And the diareaha comment made me :lmao:

I am a vomit phobe! However, seeing someone vomit on-screen doesnt bother me as much as seeing it in person. Even so, I still hate seeing it and I avoid the parts of movies that show it. Here is a list of movies I know of that contain vomit (some I have seen, others I haven't)

Blades of Glory
Minority Report
Seabiscuit (doesn't show it directly, but depicts it)
The Matrix
Sweet Home Alabama
Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood
Superbad
The Exorcist
The Sixth Sense

Im sure there are more, but that is all I can think of right now. As for TV, I'm not as sure about that. I'm fairly positive Celebrity Rehab contains vomiting, and I know Family Guy does, although it doesn't bother me in the least to see it in animated form :confused3

Hope that helps, and I would also love to hear about other movies and/or TV shows!

ETA...OMG I just looked at the description for Trainspotting. AAAARRRGGHHHH I would DIE if I watched that movie!:eek::eek:

I told ya so! :rotfl2: That is by far the most disgusting movie I've ever seen. Nothing like watching a heroin addict and what he'll do for a fix, or what he goes through trying to clean up.

Haha, even the synopsis on Wikipedia made me feel ill...darn me and my curiosity to see what it was about! I can't imagine what the actual movie would do to me! :scared1: They'd have to be bringing ME buckets!

Well I LOVE Reality TV and those are the shows that always seem to show someone vomiting. :confused3 MTV forget it! I don't even like to see the commercials sometimes, never know what they will show the previews to. I watched the Biggest Loser and sure enough...

Last night's episode of my beloved Office

It was a re-run, so I was ready, but the first time around....totally wasn't ready for it. Uuuughhhh.

I'm a guilty fan of Tosh.O, but that's kinda tough to watch, too.

I dislike it too! I'm a sympathetic vomiter as dh affectionately labeled me. I can't stand to see it in real life or on tv and I have been known to start gagging if I see it on tv. Dh calls that my puke cough, he loves to name my quirks! His payback is cleaning up any and all vomit related illnesses.

I will not be googling Trainspotting, I have learned my lesson when I read about the diva cup and family towel on the DIS!

It's a good thing my husband isn't a vomit phobic! With my morning sickness, it's anyone's guess the next time I erupt! ;)

I saw The Office last night... Hadn't seen it before, but it sent me over the edge...

Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist

One of the girls is a chronic gum chewer, and, after getting drunk, she vomits in a public toilet, and her gum falls in. The next few moments are excruciating as she retrieves the gum from the toilet and begins to chew it again.

Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood

I almost had to leave the theater during the kids vomiting in that movie. I was in college (and really really ready to just get married and have kids already) and when this scene came on, I turned a lovely shade of green. My best friend leaned over and whispered "... Um, if you can handle watching this scene without getting sick, you may want to hold off having kids... You do know they throw up."

oh my, a thread just for me! I'm a vomit phobe, can't see it, hear someone doing it or smell it *gag* without feeling sick to my stomach myself. The worst vomit scene in a movie has to be the pie eating contest scene from Stand by Me, ugh, just thinking of all those people throwing up on eachother sends me over the edge.

Ha Ha....now see I am the worst Vomit phobe in the world and that scene did not bother me at all. It looks so incredibly fake!!!! Like someone attached a hose to their cheek. :rotfl: I however cannot handle real vomiting, like what is in reality shows. At least in movies you know it is fake. Well except for jacka$$! :scared1:

See, I've watched that movie a million times, but I have NEVER seen that particular scene all the way through! I'm not sure how, but I sensed before it started that something BAD was about to go down so I fast-forwarded through it! I think the only way I found out about what happens is by accidentally catching a glimpse of what happens before I fast forwarded.

Oh, I just thought of another one...the (new) Amityville Horror.

I hate vomiting so much that I couldnt even read the thread!:rotfl2:

I think I have the top vomit scene in a movie ever. Anyone ever see Audition? It was one of the most horrifying movies ever. I won't get into plot details, but just how hungry and desperate does a person have to be to eat their own vomit?

:scared1: oh that makes my stomach turn.....

Did you all know that the fear of vomiting is an actual disorder....its called Emetophobia and there are websites with message boards dedicated to it. Seems like alot of British have this disorder. I wonder why??:confused3
