Dedicated 2 bedrooms- do they fill those up first?

So, I just made a reservation for the first 6 nights of a 7 night stay at AKV. I couldn't reserve the last night bc I have to wait until the 7 month mark and use SSR points for that one night.

My first six nights are in a dedicated two bedroom (I didn't specify what kind of two bedroom). I was wondering if that would pose a problem with adding on the last night (a Friday night in early March 2010) at the seven month mark. Say they fill up all the dedicated ones first, then maybe it would actually be better for me to request NOT a dedicated two bedroom, so that it would be more likely we could stay in the same room for our last night?

Seems reasonable MS would book Dedicated's first to keep L/O studio and 1 BR inventory available longer. If they book the L/O's, I imagine that minimizes their studio and 1 BR inventory. AKV Jambo is a good example until KV opens, I would think Dedicated studios would be booked out first.

I would wait until the 7 month mark, then if a ded 2-bed is not available when you call to add your last night, you could try and switch the whole reservation to a lock-off.

Just for info, we just booked a 2 bed at AKV at the 7 month mark. For the first night, there was only 1 dedicated 2-bed left (and only 2 lock-off 2-beds) but I had no problem getting the dedicated 2-bed for the rest of my 10 night stay.

Good luck whatever you decide to do.

I have asked that question to various people at MS and I could never get a straight answer.

I have wondered if a 2-bedroom, (studio plus 1-bedroom lock-off) are pre-assigned inventory by a manager. Sometimes we have been told that a certain room wasn't available and the Adviser will put us on hold to check other inventory. Sometimes they find a room, and sometimes they don't.

Thanks guys... well, I guess we'll just keep our fingers crossed and see what happens at the seven month mark. It just doesn't seem like 2 bedroom savanna views are too hard to come by, so hopefully it will all work out.
