Decorations and friends, what could be better. Time to plan..11/27 Final plans& recap

I guess you can tell from the title what the change was. We are now flying down.

We are still leaving the same day, the 29th but now we will arrive down there around 6:30ish and so we will have all day Saturday at Universal or Seaworld. I am still trying to figure out the schedule but will definitely know this week. I hope.
I will start writing days up soon, I promise. I started a new job and am now selling trips to Disney so been a little busy with that.

Sad we won't be driving but happy we will get there sooner and have an extra day of park time.

Up next,

Day 1 plans begins

That's great news on flying down! But even better news on getting a job! :cool1:

I always fly !!! I would never drive that far myself and Judy wouldn't either !! So I think this is a GREAT change!!!

I feel your excitement. When we changed from a driving trip to a flying trip I was very happy to have the extra time! :goodvibes

 Boo to not driving! Now you can't stop in Savannah! J/K I don't blame ya a bit. I would much rather fly but we are too close to justify not driving.

Congratulations on the Job! Sounds like something you will love :thumbsup2

Congrats on the new job...how exciting to be a Disney vacation salesperson!

We are drivers here for the most part, but I can totally appreciate the desire to fly and get down there quickly...especially since you've now earned yourself a whole additional park day!

Yeah that is a bummer but I will get there to see it and you.

Thanks. So far so good.

Wait and see what I have picked.;)

I'd pick Disney;):rotfl2:
:rotfl2: we did for 11 nights.

I am writing the next chapter. The begiing of the trip and our hopes. I hope to have it up by the weekend.

Have a Happy and safe 4th of July.

Scotny: After purchasing a time share in Aruba I realized our mistake. I can go each year to stay at a resort for either cheaper or the same price (with out paying the maintence fees every year.

problem with buying at playlinda-- you are kinda locked into the same week (and since airfare fluctuates each week--i'd rather go duing a cheaper period one year.

so be very careful there when buying

You can rent someones time share for the week you want

Thanks. I know it is locked in and that is the one thing holding me up. I might just save up for Disney time share and get another one.

Hi, do you remember me? Sorry I have been MIA just have been busy with getting my new job going and my other tr and I am having the gastric sleeve surgery hopefully so I am setting up appointments for that pre surgery. There is lots’ going on but really excited for the surgery and for the trip.

So let’s start this with day 1 plans and hopes.

We were planning on driving down in our Totoya Camry. (Borrowed from internet)

Leaving Friday and arriving on Saturday with possibly stopping in Savannah to tour a little. Plans always change with me and they did on this account too. Vinny said he would rather fly and so I asked Renee if she was okay with it and she said she was.
So I looked up fares and saw a good one I thought and we were booked. We are flying out of JFK Airport.

To get to the airport we will be using.

We are leaving much later than we normally do but also same the day we planned on leaving. This time we are going down in the mid afternoon and arriving in the early evening. We are flying down on my favorite airline.

of course I will be having my Bloody Mary on the way down.

MY luggage is this beauty I got a few months ago and loved using it when I went to Aruba.

We are renting a car for the first 4 days until we get to Disney.
Dinner on this night I am thinking will be here. (Borrowed from internet)

I really want to try one of these. (Borrowed)

I am hoping we can go here. I have always wanted to eat at one and the blender margarita looks so good.

If we do not go there then maybe we will go here. We have one by one of my brothers so we have eaten in it several times and it is good. (also borrowed from internet)

Then it will be off to bed. Not an exciting day but that is the task of getting somewhere.

Day 1 hopes:
Eat at Margaritaville

Up next,

Day 2 and where shall we go? Seaworld? Universal? Disney? None of these?

After seeing that margarita I may have to go there for dinner our first night in October! Looks yummy! :thumbsup2

We are still driving. I would like to fly for the expediency but Jim wants to drive.
I priced every airline and the cheapest I can get is around $350 pp. To drive would be the same price so I actually make out better cost wise. More money to spend in Disney.

I priced JetBlue since they now fly out of Philly but they are twice as much as JFK and I would have to fly to Boston first. I am trying to convince him to add a day or 2 on the end of the trip so I would have time to visit my aunt while I'm down there too but don't think he will give in on that.

We haven't eaten at Bahama Breeze in probably 15 years. :faint:

We've never done Margaritaville either, but my son did and he loved it.

we got $268 rt. I was happy with it.
Hope he does add it on. :thumbsup2

I pretty much ruled out BB and definitely going to Margaritaville. I have always wanted to eat there so it seems fitting being we are staying really close to it.

:thumbsup2

Day 2: Where shall we go?

This day will be Saturday the 30th and at first we thought of going to.

it would be fun to go and see Harry and Spidey but then we thought, hmm the crowds might be bad so then we thought about going here.

However again we thought of the crowds. So then we got to thinking about what we can do.

We will wake up bright and early and we are going to take a long drive to Deerfield Beach.

The drive is almost 3 hours but we will be going to see a friend of Vinny's whom I have never met but have spoken to on Facebook so I am looking forward to meeting her. I will get permission about posting her pics when I see her. We will go and have lunch with her and then spend some time with her. This was just decided this week so it is very exciting and something different for us to do and I will see more of Florida. LOL

After we leave her we will then (this still has to be confirmed) travel north for 50 minutes and hopefully see Vinny's son Scott and go to dinner with him. This will be in the Jupiter area. Hopefully Aubrey will join us but like I said this part has not been planned out yet and once it is I will let you know.

So then after that we will drive back to Orlando and crash into the beds. LOL

Now of course anyone who knows me will realize that I have already been looking at Yelp, Tripadvisor and more for restaurants to eat in. :rotfl2: I should just leave it to the locals maybe.

Sorry for the short update but this day will really be just meeting up with people and talking, eating and drinking and having a good time.

Up next,

Day 3: We will hit a park but which one?
