I want to see what you plan and how you are doing it.
We are going the following week (dec 8th thru the 15th)
We will be there then too. We are there till the 13th.
I have only been two disney 3 or 4 times-- and one of those times was a suprise weekend trip when we were coming home from Aruba. It was 300pp cheaper to go to Orlando then to fly straight way home. We went to MK for one day. Never told GD that we were going until we were in the ME bus corral.
That would be a nice surprise. Aruba is also very nice.
Disney World for the holiday season is a bucket list item for me. Honey works retail so going during the holidays is real hard. But his old boss was transferring stores so he got the manager to approve a vacation for this week.
I am going to work retail so I hope it is not going to be a problem.
I am traveling with my immediate family-- and their families. I said I was going to pay for the kids-- and then found that 2 of those kids are disney adults... (arghhh)
get the list of who is going first before offering.
For this trip it will be all about the new stuff. Trying to fit it all in and getting all the new stuff.
I love seeing new stuff. We will be having a relaxing trip as usual.
We are celebrating a grand daughters 8th birthday this week on the 10th and eating at the Castle followed by the Christmas Party. (we attended the Holloween Party and i think my family is going to be disappointed in the christmas party-- but it is what it is right)
I love the Christmas party except for the crowds.
I am sure they will love it.
I tried to get my family to commit to DVC and renting points. Showed them videos etc of the various places. (remember I said it was all about trying something new) and i think this would have given us more space. But they didnt feel that the DVC was disneyesque enough and they wanted Pop. (we already stayed at Pop.)
(and I stayed at the Contempory for our surprise weekend when i got a 40% off pin- how do i go back to Pop after that.
I am DVC and we still love POP. Sometimes renting points is cheaper then staying at a value. The only DVC I did not find Disneyeque was Kidani.
By the time i got them to commit to the renting points there was nothing available for our week (sigh)
Yeah! DVC is really busy that week. We will be SSR thankfully we got in.
We own a time share in Aruba. (I didnt get that far in your report to see about your trip. I LOVE aruba but i had to compromise Aruba for Disney this year.
I am thinking of buying one there at Playa Linda.
We are also avid cruisers-- first cruise was 2000 and we are off on number 19 in august out of New York
never cruised yet but one day I will.
