Decorating your resort room?

I was going to say the same thing in my post above (with the Potato Heads)... after decorating my window at POP, I never had trouble finding my room. I would just look for "my" window. I loved it! I'll for sure be doing this again on my next trip... whenever that will be. :confused3

Hi All,
There are so many good idea's. The last time I decorated our window was on our trip 10/06 and I decorated for Halloween. This time we will be there 6/08 and I am having a really hard time coming up with a theme:confused3 .. I have my LGMH ready to go :thumbsup2 but that is as far as I have gotten... This trip is acutally our "First Family" trip... DUncle has retired and we are celebrating Disney Style....
we will have 2 rooms @ Pop's...
I want to use lights but can't decide between all white or wait and see if I can find some colored ones that don't look like Christmas colors...

Don't forget to pack a small extension cord because the plug is not right under the window. On our last trip I had two rooms with two different themes. I had colored (purple, green & gold) lights for our Mardi Gras window and plain white lights for my Disney window. With all the colors I had going on with the Disney window I think the white lights went better than colored. Good luck and post a picture when you can.

I want to decorate my window at POP also. I have a few little stuffed the animals and some paint chips and a few window clings. I also have poster board and magnets for the door. But my question is how do I get the apint chips to stay on the windows if I cant use tape?! Also, how do you keep yours lights in the window? I bought a set of multicolored mini set after christmas would that work?! or would it be to small?!

I bought suction cups and used that for both the lights and the mickey heads. Just punch a hole in the top and it works perfectly. I think I have a picture of one of my windows.
Sorry about the glare and the lights did slip a bit (I did fix it after I took the picture).

Ok..we were gonna use scotch tape and not use a whole bunch but make sure we got it all off when we left...Is that ok or will they make us take our stuff down at POP if we use tape?!

I don't think they will make you take your stuff down if you use tape, just make sure that all the residue is removed before you leave, as I believe they may charge you for that?
I took some sticky stuff remover with me just in case and it worked great :thumbsup2

They've never said anything to me about it! But I don't use a whole bunch !!

We bought one at Wal-Mart for like 3$ and it had magnets that came with it!! we also bought additional magnet roll (sold at walmart in a roll with sticky backs) to make it sturdier :)

I apologize if this has already been asked as I am in early stages of reading, but are all the resort doors magnet compatable? haha We are staying at the AKL in September and have decorated a door or two in our Disney cruise lives. I did not know they decorated at the resorts. I loved that part about being a part of the Dis! Clue me in...

I have never been to the AKL so I am not even sure what I will have to work with? Anyone have insight into that?

We usually go to OKW over the 4th of July and decorate with lights, mickey heads, etc. We do a lot of decorations. This year, we are staying at AKL for the first time and I'm not sure what to expect. We do lights off of our balcony railing. Will AK resort let us do this, especially since that side faces the animals??? Would the animals even care?? I've heard that all entryways are from an inside hallway, which will actually make it easier to put things on our door. (In the past I've had to be careful of the humidity, rain and wind.)

Please help! I want to come prepared and my kids will be disappointed if we don't decorate. THANKS!!

Does anyone know if I can use a little bit of glitter on the ground?

We are going to Disney next week and 4 of my daughter college friends are going with us. I have "Tinkerbell" gifts for each of them for each day and lots of window decorations I made. I wanted to use a little gitter on the floor after Tinkerbell visits. I was wondering if I can use glitter on the ground outside our room. Do you know if it would be a problem?

What isle are the the window clings in at the Dollar Tree? I have gone there a couple times and have never seen them.
