Decorated resort window Pics

On a Christmas visit, I wired two smaller wreaths to the top of a larger wreath. It made the Mickey head. At the bottom, I put a large red bow. Put the bow at the top if you want Minnie. I hung it on the outside of the door with a wreath hanger. All items were from the dollar store, so it costs a grand $5! It was cute. Melissa

I'm all about saving a dollar....as much as we spend in the parks! So any Disney-related bargain is more $$$ towards our real trip expenses!!

I'm sure it was really cute!

We'll be at Pop Sept. 14-22 I think I'll decorate our window too. Sounds like alot of fun.

Thanky you so much for sharing your window & door.. This gives me many ideas and I'd like to use some of your too! Is that a HD mickey head garland or are they taped?? Please share howyou did it! It looks great and we will definately know our room... I can't tell you how often we have wlked by our door on vacation.. heck, they all look alike!! ;o)

Yes, the Mickey heads are a garland. Someone on here last year made one that was really good, with those colored metal grommets, etc. I didn't get that fancy. I just punched holes and strung them on that thin metal wire you use for making jewelry.

The other things in the window were also simple. The two large things with the Fab 5 and Princesses were clear placemats that I got at Dollar General last year. The Minnie and Tink were cut out from the goodie bags left over from DD's previous birthdays, and the Belle was a napkin, also from a birthday.

The figures on the ledge were some of DD's toys that she takes to decorate the room (yes, she's 16! LOL) She also takes stuffed toys, beanies, etc. for the inside of the room.

We celebrated her birthday while we were there, so I made the sign for the door before we got there. Also the Green Mickey heads with "DIS" and my user name.

I didn't realize that we would be there on 9/11, until we were there, so I used some paper and markers we had in the room to make the patriotic sign. It wasn't very good, but it worked.

Since that trip we've stayed at ASSp and I found those cling stickers at the Dollar Tree in Princess, Mickey & Winnie the Pooh, and I just used those on the window. I didn't take a picture, though.

Thanks for all the compliments! I wasn't planning on doing the window this year, but now I think I will!

Hey Benny,

What a great idea, using something a simple as a beach towel! You're window looks great. How ironic that the outside of your room was green:)

Thanks for posting the pic!

Love the idea!
I am definately going to do our window at POP in Feb.!

I think I'll just bring the stuff and surprise DH and DD.
He's going to think I'm totally off my rocker.
