Decorated resort window Pics

My dd just saw your window and said "Mom! Are you going to let that one out do us!?" Yes I am. But now it seems dd is in the decorating game with me. She thought I was "nerd" last december...:lmao:

Does anyone know, are the doors at CSR metal like at POP? Do they allow tape on the windows?

We decorated last September for our anniversary trip. Going back Monday (this time with the kids) and decorating again!!

I will be celebrating my birthday, wedding anniversary and DS's 1st birthday all in one trip. I loved your anniversary (magical years)! My window is gonna be a smash! Everyone is giving me such great tips I can't wait to fix my window up. I hope I get a corner room with two windows....then i'll really go bananas  .

Thanks for the compliment. It was our first time doing this and my hubby thought it was so neat. We were fortunate enough to be in a swap so we had our decorations along with some that were passed along. This year, it's just our stuff, but trying to make the best of it. I'll post a pic when we get home. WE LEAVE IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS!!!! :cool1: Don't mean to shout, but I'm a little excited. Candikayne, post pics when you return. I love to walk around the resort and see the others who decorated their windows.

They were actually those wallpaper 'stickers' that you can put on the wall and remove as needed. Got them at the dollar store. Of course this trip, couldn't get any (did get a mickey one, but not all the ones from last time).

are those window clings on your door or did you use tape?:confused3

Wallpaper Stickers actually work on windows???

I have seen some at various stores but didn't know if they worked on windows.

I can not find window clings at any store in my town and don't want to tape things to the windows. I don't want to risk a fine. I have almost given up on the idea of decorating because I haven't been able to fine anything.

I went and bout mini suction cups with the hooks in the craft department at WalMart. I intend to use them for my "picture" placemats and mickey (hand made- HomeDepo Mickey paint samples, beads and ribbon on clearance) garland.

I found the wall stickers at the Dollar Tree. One sheet seems to be enough for me to do 1 window.

Will Disney fine you for sticking things to the window? I never knew about that. That will surely change my plans for decorating.

I didn't know that either. I used tape last year and it did leave a small amount of residue, so I was planning on bringing some Goo Gone this year.

I am sure I read on another window decorating thread that Disney was cracking down on people taping things to the window and charging a small fine ($25 I think) because of the time Mousekeeping has to spend scrapping the tape off the window.

I could be wrong but I am sure I read it here on the DIS somewhere. Anyone else remember reading this??

We used masking tape but a very small amount to hang the cards up. I brought window cleaning wipes to clean the windows just in case.

Gosh, I can't wait to decorate our window next month!!! I have some great ideas from everyone!!!! Love the pictures, and thanks for the font idea, I found it!!!

Wow, that looks great!! Looks like you printed the sign on you computer. If so where did you get the font? Also, I have one of those statues with goofy, but it was given to us.. where did it come from, I would like to buy more?

:goodvibes

I got the fonts from a site that is no longer up. Sorry.

Those were McDonald's toys in our window. We added a BABW dog from a Happy Meal today.

Thanks I collect little Disney figures and loved doing our window.

We just got back from pop and we taped hdmd on our window and the tape left no residue. I also used it on the door and made sure that it was clean. I used the suction cups and our lights, but tape for other things. Will post pics as soon as I recover (later today).

I read this too, I have bought some sticky stuff remover to clean the residue off before I leave :thumbsup2:

I will make sure that my window is clean before I leave. I was starting to get discouraged from decorating my window. I will use a little tape as possible and be sure to wipe it clean before I leave.

I have alot to celebrate (two birthdays and an anniversary!) and my window will have tons of stuff representing the celebrations!

Woohoo,, we are going on the same day!!! Are you staying at pop?
We have 2 celebrations, my DD's 6th birthday and my anniversary, only plan on celebrating the birthday though as my DH won't be with us. We are having a pirate and princess theme in green
I don't plan on using any tape as I have made my window clings and have suction hooks for the garland and the lights, but the window clings feel sticky so I'm taking the sticky stuff remover just in case. I have made my door sign out of magnetic printer paper :thumbsup2:
